I think it's semi-confirmed... I think the main batch of start lists are due soon as we're just 2 weeks away!

ok i have just read a few pages of CW and they have some news on the startlist
Cancellara will not rider as he wants to ride the Tour of Poland instead as it will be a better build-up to the World TT champs.
Howver these guys are 99.999999% sure will ride
Roger Hammond - TMO
Mark Cavendish - TMO
Ian Stannard - TMO
Linus Gerdemann - TMO
Martin Pedersen - CSC (he won it last year)
Juan Jose Haedo - CSC
Matthew Goss - CSC
Luke Roberts - CSC
Lars Yitting Bak - CSC
Anders Lund - CSC
Robbie Hunter - Barlo
Geraint Thomas - Barlo
Romain Feillu - Agritubel
Paul Manning - Team GB
Ed Clancy - Team GB
John Bellis - Team GB
Russell Hampton - Team GB
Steven Burke - Team GB
Ben Swift - Team GB
Chris Newton - Recycling
Rob Partridge - Recycling
Simon Holt - Recycling
Tom Diggle - Recycling
Ryan Bonser - Recycling
Adam Bonser - Recycling
Hamish Haynes - DFL
Daniel Lloyd - DFL
Evan Oliphant - DFL
Dan Fleeman - DFL
Tony Gibb - Plowman Craven
Simon Gaywood - Plowman Craven
James McCullum - Plowman Craven
James Millard - Plowman Craven
Richard Wilkinson - Plowman Craven
Gordon McCauley - Plowman Craven
Mikhail Ignatiev - Tinkoff
i think that is a fairly good field although Cav and Hammond will dominate the sprints unless Haedo, Goss and Feillu get their act together

no, as there is no Saunier and no room in the GB team, he must be doing a different race in build-up to the worlds, it's a big shame though

They think it will work every year!! For go sake its just a few rodes just close the damn things!!
Also wonder if we will see a problem with all the radios and time checks again on stage 1 giving the win to the break then that normally win the whole thing |

no i'm not sure, but that's what it says, and until the actual startlist comes out we won't know for sure
why is it taking them so long to release it

not long till the action kicks off now! I'm trying to pick a favourite, but its probably going to be one by the victor of a sucessful break like Pederson last year. I think I'll plump for Daniel Lloyd, hes in good form and obviously a talent after his ride at the nationals. |

It depends on who gets in the race winning break on whatever stage it will be.
I hope Cav or Hammond can win some sprints

I would expect Cav to win at least one, and Roger always wins that stage to Liverpool (well, twice) but now I suppose he wont bother seeing as the routes reversed and its liverpool-kendal. I think Haedo will take the sprinters jersey though. |
