i'd say that has much chance of happening as Roger Hammond winning anything

Yeh, I mean Schleck will have to look back at some point, maybe coming into the finish to make sure noones closing in on him.

considering his specialisation, that's not really an issue
but I agree with your point, he has absolutely no chance of winning this sunday |

he has to arrive alone ,i think, considering that almost all other favorites can spirnt (more or less)
di luca, valverde, ricco, sammy sanchez ....
but, i have to admit, i will be watching this race for the first time B) |

the Jaizkibel isn't long enough for him. it's a climb where short accelerations will have to be made to split the group. which is hardly his strong point. there is nothing to say he won't finish with a leading group. he just won't be able to go alone.
those you gave as favorites no doubt are serious candidates. Sanchez especially with the descent of the Jaizkibel being medium-long |

I don't think Andy will ride the Vuelta, eventhough he would be great support for Sastre in the mountains. But for some reason they prefer Cuesta and I have no ide why |

Cuesta is a personal friend of Sastre and very experienced. where'd you hear Andy isn't riding the Vuelta? |

Just a hunch I hope he will, but I just don't think he will. He's riding Deutschland Tour in a week and he's already completed one Grand Tour so far this season, so for me It's not possible. But I hope I'm not right |

Winner 1989: Gerhard Zadrobilek (Austria)
wtf, had no idea
when you see who follows him: Indurain, Bugno, Chiappucci, Armstrong, Rebellin, Bettini, Dekker, Jalabert (incomplete)

don't ever doubt me I've yet to not see a ProTour race either on TV or through the web (and I don't just mean this year)
I'll post it here when the race is about to start
EDIT: and Smoothie is correct. it's on eurosport in 135 minutes.
