the worlds are going to go ahead after all it seems. the UCI has agreed to the locals' demands to double the number of controls there.
Italian national TT champ Luca Ascani tested positive for EPO. wow...an italian being tested in italy? I can't believe my eyes...
Italy is changing he's atitude..lets realy hope. Before antidoping revolution ..they never would "thesed" national hero like Petacchi.
Lets hope its note a pose...but real stuff. I think next year Giro will be biggest test and answer about their antidoping work.

Haha! That's just great. If it hadn't been for him, Rasmussen would have won the Tour |

And some really "ironic" news:
The Vuelta Organizer has decided to let Astana start even though there were talks saying they wouldn't be allowed to start. The organizer has said that Astana deserve a spot, because they have improved in the doping matters (by firing Vinokourov). No matter what, they don't want Vinokourov in La Vuelta, because the goal is to have a clean sport.
Yet, they have still decided to invite Relax - Gam who has both Oscar Sevilla and Francisco Mancebo on the team. |

Relax??? Relax was denied. they even threatened to put the Vuelta organisers in court because they thought it was a big injustice. where'd you get those news about Relax?
the wildcards are Karpin-Galicia and Andalucia-Caja Sur
as for Astana. pathetic.
EDIT: allow me to further elaborate. Relax claimed that it was an injustice that they were still denied despite the fact that they agreed to not start Sevilla, Vicioso, Mancebo, etc.

Today's news:
- In 2002, Michael Rasmussen was sent home from Giro della Provencia di Lucca. Back then, it was said it was due to Rasmussen being sick, but now the Danish sports director, Johnny Weltz, says that it was due to an unusual high hematocrite level (spelling..). CSC's public relations officer, Brian Nygaard, confirms the story, but also says that the testing equipment was unprofessional and that Rasmussen was sick during the time of the testing, both making the test result unreliable.
Nonetheless, it was that test which made CSC and Rasmussen "break up".
- Libardo Nino has been tested positive for EPO. |

Cycllingnews:
Unipublic, the Vuelta a EspaƱa's organizer, has granted the third wildcard to Spanish Pro-Continental Team Relax-GAM through an official press release, in which it announced that, "the twenty-second squad invited to participate in the Vuelta 2007 will be the Relax-GAM."
They still get what they wanted. |
