He blocked Van Hummel who might have won, judging by his speed. |

yup, you're right. Rodriguez's sprint didn't have any major problems. however, he also ruined Casper's sprint. Casper was well positioned and nearly fell on the last turn because of him.
also, Robbie didn't take part. Rodriguez did.
1. Cavendish
2. Rodriguez
3. Weylandt
4. Van Hummel
5. Haussler
EDIT: where's the aussie community cheering?
oh and Levi for Rodriguez...

aaah. didn't catch that.
McEwen had 1 win his rookie season with a Division 1 team: a stage in the Vuelta a Murcia
Petacchi had 4: two stages in the tour of Luxembourg and two in the Vuelta a EspaƱa
so I have no idea who holds the record.

Weylandt DQ-ed now.
Btw is it me, or was Cavendish a tad arrogant in that interview... "If I'm within the first 5 at the start of the sprint nobody can beat me"....
Bah... |

yup Cavenish is one of the most arrogant riders there is, he may well have reason to be, but it's still not very nice

Tour de Normandie this year and worlds under-23 TT last year he "announced" he was going to win before the race. that turned out sour.
I was going to mention he attacked when Boasson Hagen punctured in the Ruban Granitier this year, but that isn't arrogant. just very unsporting.

To be correct, he said - according to cyclingnews.com - "I'm an old-school sprinter, I can't climb a mountain but if I am in front with 200 metres to go then there's nobody who can beat me." Still the guy has a lot of self-confidence, but it's not that arrogant.
And go Gutierrez!!!
