I don't really like his attitude, but in his defence, it's unbelievably hard when you're the most marked man in the peloton.
everyone has in their minds "I can go with anyone...just not Boonen"
or "we can bring that attack back later...but not if it's Boonen.
check the greatest classics riders throughout history. when they start dominating, they suddenly have a one or two year lull. then they come back (because they're no longer watched that much)
