To Tondo I don't know, but Jimenez will lose much time to win the Volta.

Azevedo seems to be coming back to strengths now though...

exactly, Tondo is a candidate, but not Jimenez
Candido will also lose a lot of time, so Bernabeu has a good chance.
Azevedo is the best Time triallist of all the contenders (best one overall is probably Garrido or that Benfica guy, Helder something, forgot his last name), but he just seems way off form.
the 40 seconds that Barbosa got from bunch sprint bonuses may very well prove crucial.

10km to go to the end of this 28km climb...
the incline is lower from now on. that's better for the better TT riders. |

Better for Azevedo
remember Voigt at the Deutschland Tour last year, getting dropped by Leipheimer and then coming back to win in the less steep section? Maybe Barbosa can do the same...

doubt it. he's a bit far behind...and seems to be losing time. |

Barbosa back in virtual yellow!
he had 47 seconds over Tondo before the stage. which will be won by Jiménez. |

Barbosa is 7 seconds ahead of Tondo in the overall
it's going to be an exciting TT tomorrow!!
EDIT: plus there's a time bonus for third for Barbosa. but I don't know how much. can it be 8 seconds?

Don't forget the time bonus for Tondo too...
Well, let's see Jimenez is TT...to see if Azevedo can reach the podium, because it is a long TT.

Hmm.... Azevedo is not going to win this Volta, that makes me sad.
Jimenez sucks at time trialing, he's definetely not going to be the winner. Barbosa isn't exactly Mr. Prodigy in TT either. In my opinion, the winner is obvious:
Xavier Tondo
Another Spaniard winning the Volta.

This is not really related to the topic at hand, but I'd like to know where I can find training plans for cycling? Or some place in Portugal where you can determine your level of fitness and or medical exams related to cycling? |
