OMG, i am horrified, not that he lied but because the team would sack him like this, plus he hasnt been doping. he did 14 tests during the tour and two tests before the tour all of which came ou negative

Its very simple, He lied to the whole team and they worked their asses of for someone who wasn't speaking the truth along the road. I hope he isnt doped but comeon? being in the dolomites while you say that you are in Mexico in June and lying about that makes him very suspicious
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

It was these facts that he was fired:
-Lied to the team about training in mexico
-missing 4 doping tests
But he had done in total 16 tests before and during the tour, he wasnt Doped! if anyone is it is contador, its just not humanly possible to attack that many times on an altitude of that proportian. If he wins im going to go to that hill, inject myself with steriods and try it myself. Got to feel sorry for the other cofidis riders, including wiggins! Also moreni doped but he was still rubbish. All i can hope is rasmussen keeps racing.

and? Lance is the most tested athlete in history. yet about half a dozen of his former teammates have so far testified that he doped. there was also EPO in his 1999 samples when they were re-tested several years later with more advanced techniques.
do you think Vino hadn't been doping before?
of course he had
the tests are very far from being infallible. it's the other way around, in fact. it's very hard to catch someone with tests.
I'm not saying he's doped. what I'm saying is that "he never tested positive" is no argument.

I hope Contador doesn't wear yellow tomorrow either, but for a different reason. He's not clean either! He was implicated in Operacion Puerto but due to a nice little deal with the Spanish Authorities they won't touch him (and this is not just something I've made up but a widely held view among cycling journalists). And how many OP participants who have actually been investigated have been proven innocent so far? None I think. Particularly Jan "I never ever ever doped" Ullrich and Ivan "I thought I needed to dope 'cause I only won the Giro by 9 minutes" Basso.
I believe Cadel should be in Yellow in Paris as he is the highest ranked clean rider, but I think he can beat Contador in the TT anyway, it'll be tough though.
I also feel sorry for Rabobank and the other innocent cyclists affected by this but I think they're going to have to suffer more yet, neccessarily so, as sad as that is.
C'mon Cadel!
How do you know Evans in clean? Noone from top 20 is clean be sure of that... You think aussie's can't dope? |

It certainly is an argument. If you want to catch some one then you do it in the first 5 times he has been through it 16 times!!!!!!! and he still hasnt come up posative. It certainly does seem that you are implicating him taking drugs, when niether you or the UCI, or the race officials have nothing to show!

I'm not trying to implicate him, but as Seb Hinault says "only your grandmother can believe you missed 4 doping controls by accident". no matter how hard you test someone, you can never guarantee they are clean. what you can't do either is say they're doped with no proof. and with Rasmussen, he is just getting off on a technicality. under normal circumstances he'd be out by now.

Boonen says both he and Steegmans know who the "men in black" are. says he and Steegmans have seen them training in black. when asked who those are he said "Vino is one of them". when asked for more he said "Evans is the first of the clean riders. let's stop at that"
I'm pretty sure Boonen is right, and let me tell you that for me to agree with Boonen , it takes a huge stretch...
and I can name others in the top20 that I can pretty much guarantee are clean.
of course, 100% you never can. but let's just put it this way:
over the past few months on this forum we've had talks on several threads about who is doped and who isn't.
so far we've been on the money every time. because, just as Jerôme Pineau says "being around cycling long enough you get these suspicions....and you just KNOW they're right, as they always turn out to be"
there are quite a few clean riders in the top20, don't worry. worry about those few that aren't. |

Valverde and Mayo look to be clean, but im not 100%, i just think they have learnt that doping isnt the way forward. I just have to say that i think nearlly all the Disco team are being supplied with steriods.

I doubt that about the Disco team. usually only the top riders look dirty from that team.
I wouldn't bet on Gusev, Hincapie, etc. having anything to hide.
Paulinho, on the other hand, rode for Liberty Seguros, so I have my doubts on him.

actually he still rides!! on a small dutch team, "cycling team jo piels" or somesuch. he was supposed to come back to the ProTour to ride for Cofidis last year, but he broke his leg or something.

well, I hope you're right, but I can never fully trust the Euskaltel team. that they were doping in the past has been proven. right now, who knows.
perhaps fittingly, the model of bike that Ibán Mayo uses is called the "Addict"
