Goss seems to like Britain. He led the race last year which earnt him a contract with CSC and now he takes his first win here this year.

uh oh, tob road fever hits again
North Yorkshire highways Authority refused to close it's roads so the riders were neutralised and riding with traffic.

Full Story
The fourth stage of the Tour of Britain between Rotherham and Bradford has been neutralised between mile 46 and 67 after the north Yorkshire highways authority refused to give the event permission to race on its roads.

26 riders had a 30 second lead when race officials decided to neutralise the race at the North Yorkshire border. The riders were escorted by the police at an average of 22 miles per hour and the racing restarted at the 67-mile mark when the race left the North Yorkshire roads.

This year's race had been run without major problems but this improvised neutralisation brought back the bad memories of the 2006 race when the peloton got lost on the stage to Canterbury. Tour of Britain technical director Mick Bennett (pictured) explained that they had tried to convince the North Yorkshire highways authority to give them permission but when this was refused they decided to neutralise the racing.

“We applied to all 42 highway authorities for a 16A permission to race on the roads eight weeks before the race. 41 gave us permission but North Yorkshire said our application was four days late,” Bennett said.

not that winning the Tour of Britain could compare, but it would be a win anyway...

where is cav in the points classification? I'm using my mobile and bbc sport aint working!

SportingNonsense
Well he is second in the points competition and 1st in the sprints competition.

Points is for Stage finishes, Sprints is for the sprints on the road.

Cav was in a 2man break with Serov today. Serov dropped him on the final KoM climb but Cav still beat the rest of the pack.

i think he will, and i think he will win as wellWink

he has to win the last stage, it's tradition for the "best" sprinter in the tour to win the last stage, look at Boonen last year, did absolutley nothing during any sprints until London
