the final TT will be decisive. it's double the length of last year.
it's about who can time trial the best between the top runners of stages one and six. mostly one. six doesn't seem that hard.
plus, considering there's a decisive TT the next day, there's a good chance a break makes it on stage 6. so I'd say it's mostly stages 1 and 7(the TT)

here's who I think are the possible winners.
depending on form, any one of them can do anything from win the overall to being completely crap:
Vladimir Gusev
Vincenzo Nibali
Manuel Quinziato
Thomas Dekker
Kim Kirchen
José Ivan Gutierrez
David Millar
Victor Peña (if he's fully recovered from the virus)
and the guys who might win if everything goes their way and they're also lucky:
Leif Hoste
Jurgen Van Den Broeck
Rik Verbrugghe
Andry Grivko

I have no idea what this is, so I'm going to make the outrageous act of asking what and where is Eneco Tour before even googling it. Because I'm that evil. |

it's the Tour of Benelux. although it doesn't go through Luxembourg this year.
it was started in 2005 with the start of the ProTour. before that it was the Tour of Holland.
it's usually flat with a few hilly stages that use parts of the courses of the Amstel Gold Race, Liége-Bastogne-Liége and Flèche Wallone, and it's usually settled by the time trial.
last year it was won (controversially) by Stefan Schumacher by 2 seconds in front of George Hincapie

Very informative, thanks. It seems interesting... 2 seconds in front of Hincapie? Why is it controversial, what happened?
Oh and by the way, here is a series of pics of the profile of the tour that I snatched through Cyanide's forum:

going into the last stage, Hincapie was in the lead by 3 seconds overall.
Gilbert was coming to the finish to win, when the bunch was just behind.
Hincapie and Schumacher were leading the sprint (it had been the hardest stage of the race, so no sprinters were there), when just before the line, a fan throws his arms into the air to celebrate...he hit Schumacher. Schumacher veered to the right to avoid falling....and hit Hincapie.
Hincapie fell and Schumacher lost speed, so Mori got second (he would've been fourth otherwise), and so Schumacher won by 1 second (sorry, not two) overall due to the 3rd place time bonus. without the crash, he would've been second with Hincapie third, so Hincapie would've won the overall by 1 second.
honestly, after much reviewing the footage, I honestly believe Schumacher could have avoided hitting Hincapie, but not without himself falling, so I can't really blame him.

by the way, all stages are live on eurosport, starting with the prologue tomorrow
for those who don't have eurosport, I believe (not completely sure) that cycling.tv is also transmitting.

Any place online broadcasting it?
Also, the guy in red is Hincapie? And the yellow is Schumacher? They have different shirts' colours for the standings right? |
