CSC are already confirmed to bring World Time trial champion Fabian Cancellara racing for the London prologue
Team GB (good to have a national team huh) are in talks with David Millar to bring him along to the race.
The Race Route
9th - 15th September
Prologue - London (crystal palace)
Stage 1 - Reading - Southampton
Stage 2 - Yeovilton - Taunton
Stage 3 - Worcester - Wolverhampton
Stage 4 - Rother Valley Country Park - Bradford
Stage 5 - Liverpool - Kendal
Stage 6 - Dumfries - Glasgow
So 7 days of cycling in Britain, on what the organisers hope will be a pro tour event shortly (and boy do all british cycling nuts want it to be pro tour, oh and more organised).
It heads to Yorkshire for the first time i think.
If your going have fun!

yes i think it should end in London too, i don't have a clue why they turned the route around.
but it's good news Cancellara will be there, it's just a pity there aren't any other big names coming again, well none have been announced
it would be good to see, Millar, Geraint, Soler etc. but if Millar comes that means no Vuelta for him

T-mobile just confirmed
The Press Release
The T-Mobile team is a late addition to the start list of the Tour of Britain after an agreement between race organisers and the team was reached on Wednesday.
T-Mobile will join CSC as the two big-name teams in the Tour of Britain and mean 17 teams of six riders will contest the seven days of racing that begin in Crystal Palace on September 9 and end in Glasgow on September 15
According to race organisers the provisional T-Mobile line-up includes talented German Linus Gerdermann who won stage 7 of the Tour de France in the Alps and wore the yellow jersey for a day. British sprinter Mark Cavendish is also set to ride as he tries to add more wins to his record breaking first season tally, and he will have the experienced support and leadership from Roger Hammond, while young British stagiaire Ian Stannard may also ride. The final T-Mobile line-up for the Tour de France will be announced nearer the start.
Amongst the other teams competing in this year's race are Agritubel, Team CSC and Barloworld. CSC have penciled-in world time trial champion and London Tour de France prologue winner Fabian Cancellara, while Barloworld sprinter and Tour stage winner Robbie Hunter of South Africa is also expected to ride. He will be backed by Geraint Thomas and perhaps British stagiaire Ben Swift.
This year the Tour of Britain jumps around the country with stages in the South of England, Somerset, the West Midlands, the North West and Yorkshire before heading into Scotland.
The 17 teams selected for the race are as follows:
- Agritubel
- Barloworld
- Chocolade Jacques - Topsport Vlaanderen
- DFL - Cyclingnews - Litespeed
- Duja - Tavira
- Fuerteventura - Canarias
- Navigators Insurance Cycling Team
- Plowman Craven - Evans Cycles Racing
- Rabobank (Continental)
- Recycling.co.uk
- Skil - Shimano
- South Australia.com - AIS
- Team CSC
- Team Great Britain
- Team Konica Minolta
- Tinkoff Credit Systems
- Team T-Mobile

the Americans definatley think that the UK is tiny because my sister was doing an American Exchange with school and the American's came up with a plan of what they would like to do,
one day they wanted to visit Manchester, then the next they wanted to go to Edinburgh then the next to Cornwall etc.
we may be tiny but not that tiny
