The Giro's fifth day of racing includes yet another tricky, unpredictable finish. After a long day of mostly flat, the road will climb into the finish city of Matera towards the end. It's far from the hardest of climbs and surely not enough for any GC contenders to try any attacks, but perhaps a bit too much for pure sprinters like Cavendish. Having won a similar, though slightly more difficult, stage yesterday, Enrico Battaglin might actually be the seen as the big favourite.
