PCM.daily interviews Cyanide about PCM10
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

Cyanide has been extremely early with both screenshots and the first trailer - luckily for us who're looking very much forward to PCM10. We've also heard a few tid-bits about new features in the game, and for the very same reason, we had several questions ready for Cyanide when the opportunity to interview them came up.

Although they are still not allowed to reveal everything about the upcoming game, we do come around subjects such as minimum game requirements, improvements to the AI/gameplay, the stage editor, the new season mode and the historical data - and several other interesting points.

You can read PCM.daily's interview with Cyanide / Xavier Wiart here and the documentation here - enjoy! :)

pcm 10 sounds really good. And what's good is the riders engine hasn't changed so shirtmakers can keep on making shirts the same size and they will work.

Well, it was a bit disappointing to read this interview. As i've heard about the new engine a year ago, i've thought about more new features in 3d-mode. Of course it's good for shirtmakers, that the riders didn't change, but that also means, that they will still ride through each other and still have the same animations.
I also thought that they would change the gameplay more, for example making the sprints more realistic. In this interview it doesn't sound like a big improvement in this points.
This new season mode sounds good, but isn't something i really badly needed in the game. And this historical functions is only for statistic freaks, but if that's the only thing, changed in the manager part, well...
Sometimes i think that cyanide is forgetting that this is a MANAGER-game...

But i'm still optimistic that there is more to come.

I agree with EintrachtFan. There is just the light manager and the new graphic of landscape added.

Pretty screenshots, not a lot new and that's what I see.
I'll wait to play the game before I make a proper judgement. But this is dissapointing.

Good point, Stage editor is easier to use. I'll end up buying it, i do play PCM often.

Im yet to be convinced of its merits, but I guess it will become clearer closer to the release

Let me give you all one good reason to buy it: With less things added, less things can break!

That was PCM09 wasn't it? Be a great line when it comes to selling it "PCM10 - even less things added than to PCM09. Wink

Must say I'm not that excited - seems the big additions are the things I usally have to turn off in the graphics settings. Frown

Same comment from me as every other year.

I care about realism in the racing. That's it.

i don't see what's so bad with it. The ai thing is a good improvment, and they are taking it year by year. I'm looking forward to this, don't beat you down before you play it.
