i have noticed many dutch and belgium riders have stats far to high, many iv never heard of and rarely ride pro tour races. Take Lars Boom, what has he actually won? yet im climbing in an elite group and he's along side me!! Thomas Dekker is a good rider yes but he's probably in the top 10 riders in the game which is just wrong. Also their hidden progess stats are also far to high, meanwhile Nicholas Roche has a fighter stat of 67!! he's is one of the most aggressive riders in cycling!
Am I the only one who thinks the Belgium & Dutch riders in the game are overrated?
I don't think they are overrated. At least not more than any other other rider. Boom is a great cyclist, last year he won 13 road races, although he focused on the cyclocross season. And Dekker, well, he's doped.
I guess that's the beauty of this game - you can change the stats of riders that you disagree with. For the most part though, stats that guys like Ruben does are fairly accurate (in my opinion). Whilst you may not have heard of some of the guys you are racing with in the game, that doesn't mean they aren't good at those areas. It may be that in real life they don't get the chance to do the large events, but are really that good. Guys like Boom, you have to remember, is extremely successful in cyclo cross, and others in mountain biking. This is taken into account by most DB makers.
If in doubt, change, change and change a bit more!
