it isn't anywhere near as horrible as I was expecting with the new regulations. The BMW, on the other hand, makes Kubica look presentable.

Yeah, let's hope the gentle and fair Renault and Ferrari will beat those cheaters McLaren. Shock

And that Massa, erm, Alonso, sorry, I meant Hamilton will indeed stop crying when he does blunders that cost him points.

It's very hard to predict what it'll give this season. The KERS and other new specificities will change things a lot. Also Renault and Honda have been allowed to develop their engines, as they didn't do it before (that was supposedly forbidden) unlike their opponents who gained like 0,4s/lap thanks to that.

Ron Dennis has quit as Mclaren boss ahead of this season and Martin Whitmarsh will take over.

Good old Ron has earned a break.

We'll miss him. Not too many folks as honest as him are around, sadly Smile

For some reason I thought you hated him. Actually that must have been Aquarius Pfft Unless that was sarcasm, but it doesn't seem like it is.

No, I have nothing against him at all. He's a genuinely nice and honest man.

You probably think that of me because CrueTrue, being a die hard McLaren fan, incapable of admitting that McLaren is just as bad and corrupt as Ferrari and Renault, keeps trying to convince himself (and everyone else by extension) that I'm a Ferrari fan, and that I love everything and everyone Ferrari and hate everyone else Smile

Bernie has the answer:
Jan.26 (GMM) F1's big teams can plug any holes on the grand prix grids by fielding third cars, according to chief executive Bernie Ecclestone.

In the wake of Honda's departure from the sport, and speculation that further teams might succumb to the effects of the global financial crisis, formula one is facing an immediate future with grids of perhaps fewer than eighteen drivers.

Short of plugging the gaps with new team entrants, Briton Ecclestone, 78, says the easiest solution to the problem is to ask the best-financed existing teams to enter more cars.

"That is what basically will happen," said Ecclestone, who has denied that he is contractually bound to organisers and broadcasters to provide well-stocked fields.

He explained to Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa: "If the manufacturers supply engines to other people, they can run three cars themselves."

Ecclestone hinted that the third car provision could be triggered immediately, such as if a buyer is not found for Honda's Brackley based team.

"It is better to have 20 cars on the grid, whether they are in the hands of manufacturers or in private hands, that doesn't make any difference," he said.

How about we let someone field GP2 cars in the F1 race? That kinda worked in the 60's with F2 cars...
At what point was this a good idea?
