For our new series "Cycling Interviews" we have the chance to ask Jempy Drucker some questions.
Jempy Drucker was starting his career in cyclocross where he was multiple times the luxembourgish champion (juniors, U23 and elites), he is currently riding for Wanty - Groupe Goubert and his best result on the road so far is the 2nd place at the Luxembourg Tour this year.
For more informations about his career so far: https://fr.wikiped...py_Drucker
So you have 1 week (until next Wednesday) to ask questions we will pick the best ones out, as every single question would be simply too much, and send them back.

For 2015, have you been contacted by any WT squad?

What career path you would have chosen if you weren't a professional cyclist and why? |

Were you ever offered the chance to ride with the Schleck brothers, like Laurent Didier at Leopard for example? |

You have a slightly unusual career pattern, starting with cyclocross and moving to the road. How important has the cyclocross aspect of your early career been in shaping how you ride road races? Has it influenced it at all?

Do you personally enjoy more riding on the road, or in a terrain? Many former cyclocross riders claim that their switch to road cycling is more of a financial decision, while their heart is still in the terrain.

You have many good results with the recent Tour de Luxembourg standing out a bit, but still no UCI-win. How does that affect your planning and racing and do you think win no. 2 will be "easier" than no. 1?

With all the talent in Wanty this year (De Greef, Baugnies, Seeldraeyers) and a lot of guys coming over from Vacansoleil, do you feel the team has been underperforming this year?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

We have seen a rider like Zdenek Stybar change from cyclocross to the road with quite some success. Did his success inspire you to give the road a chance?
How long do you think it will take for you to adjust to the road?
What is the biggest difference, when it comes to training, between cyclocross and road?
Which terrain are you trying to focus on? Is it the cobbled stages, the more hilly ones like La Fleche Wallone, Amstel, shorter stage races TT or?

He has been riding solely on the road since 2012, before Stybar stopped riding cyclocross.

Good ones by Count and Avin. Building up on their questions:
How do you think it's different to start a career in CX compared to the road, track or MTB? Is it easier for cyclists to get spotted and obtain cycling as a living standard or is the smaller percentage of coverage, compared to the road, a too big disadvantage?
Since you are probably used to the dirt and freezing temperaturs, were their any moments, where that came as a undeniable advantage, or is the playing field too leveld for that to happen?
How is the atmosphere among riders in the CX circuit in general and how is it compared to the road peloton? Do you have special friendships with guys you know from CX and that carry over to the road?
Cycling is always considered as a bastion, where the fans are close to the riders. In what regard do you think the road peloton could learn something from Cyclo-Cross, where there's - for example - a great culture of beer tents in Belgium or BQ-style events in the USA?
