Bored of riding the same races over and over? Bored of guys like Froome & Cancellara dominating the world of cycling? Bored of the current World Tour teams, but does a Comics DB go too far?
Then this database is something for you!
This is a big fantasy DB, optimized for a playable career mode. It includes customized cyclists, teams, races and a customized calendar. You won’t see Froome, Quintana & Nibali fighting for GT wins, but Piot, Montoya & Signorini. You won’t see Cavendish, Kittel & Sagan fighting for the Green jersey, but you’ll see Vermeersch, Barbi & Peeters fighting for it.
You won’t see OPQS, Sky & Movistar being the dominating teams, but Qantas, Lacoste, ExxonMobil & KBC instead.
The idea started when Ulrich Ulriksen brought out a Fantasy Rider Mod. He made a personal mod for me as well. I started editing the teams and riders quite intensively, so that it’d become a very realistic new cycling world. But in the end, it wasn’t enough for me. So I started adding some nice fantasy races. But it got more and more, so in the end, It felt like a complete Fantasy DB.
I wanted to keep it a personal DB at the start. But at some point, I decided it wouldn’t be a bad idea to share the DB with the PCM community.
So I started working again, customizing the calendar, adding some more races, re-doing some stats etc.
There have been some problems, but in the end, with some testing help from Daloe, the DB is now finally ready for a release.
Features
- Completely new cyclists(generated by Ulrich Ulriksen & edited by me)
- 100 new teams(generated by Ulrich Ulriksen & heavily edited by me)
- Around 50 new races, including 3 new GTs(Vuelta a Colombia, Tour of the USA, the Great Race)
- A fully customized WT calendar
- A fully customized .HC calendar
- A moderately customized .1 & .2 calendar
- Customized rider schedules fitting to the calendar
- Realistic potentials, decline ages etc. for a good, playable Career Mode.
- Modified WC teams, so that every good rider in the DB has a chance to win.
- A few variants for some important races

Installation
0. Download the PCMdaily Expansion Pack(You need it for this DB)
1. Download the file using the link
2. Extract the .rar file with 7Zip or WinRar. It doesn’t matter where you extract it, just extract it in a map in your downloads or something like that.
3. Copy the stuff(maps CM_stages & Gui) in the ‘Program Files’ map to C/Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2013, or another folder if you have installed PCM somewhere else. Click yes when asked to merge folders.
4. Copy the stuff(map Mod) in the ‘My Docs’ map to My documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2013. Click yes when asked to merge folders.
5. Start PCM and select ‘Jesleyh_FantasyDB’ as your .cdb in the options menu.
6. Enjoy!

There's a race in Turkey, just not .HC
If someone would've made a fantasy race of Turkey I would've considered to use it, but nobody did and the current Turkey race in PCM is just kinda dull

@Depeche Nice to hear.
@Ian Tried to make them as realistic as possible.
Ulrich Ulriksen has to take credit on that one, his rider generation system was really good, I didn't have to do that much stat-wise.
Want to see a specific screen?(best AVG, best MO, best SP?)
Oh, and you need the Expansion Pack(Could've stated that more clear, but at least it's in the instructions), so you have to wait for your next pc I guess

This is pretty amazing work Jesley, is there any way to just download the races or do I have to download the complete DB? As I want to race some of the races with real life riders. |

Well. The DB is 90% races, so downloading the whole DB would work

Looks like a nice twist on the Fantasy DB, and could be fun to play if I had any time to do so, which I don't It's nice to see a fair few ManGame jerseys being used too!
No African teams though?

No African sponsors indeed, could've included one or two. Some teams have some African influence though, I think

@Tafiolmo Well, actually I didn't create any races at all myself, most were shattered over PCM forums.
A few have been renamed, also a few real races.
(Valkenburg GP probably being most obvious).
I however, did create the Great Race(along with a few others) because the originally 21 stages was really unbalanced and repeated stages(There were stages that were completely identical, except for cobbled sections).
I created a 14 stages race with a variant of 14 stages as well, to balance it out. That was fun, because there are some awesome stages in it
