Can someone enlighten me as to where any downloaded DBs should be placed on your PC. When I select the DB in the option the only one I see is the OfficialRelease.cdb.

most of the downloaded DB'ses of this site are an .exe program.
when you start the .exe you just select your main pcm folder (C\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Managern 2012)

Actually, no. Probably most of them are rar. files.

Actually, no. Probably most of them are rar. files.
They're just packed in a .rar file. As Abelbaba said, most of the dbs install themselves through an .exe file. At least the big ones like Daily's.
