Breakaway wins every stage!!!

Hi, I'm playing the Tour de France with Radioshack.
Of course I'm trying to win it with Andy, but as you all know,
he is not the best TT-rider. After the first real TT, he lost the
yellow jersey to Cadel. My problem is, that BMC let EVERY single
breakaway go in. And yeah, I mean every single. Every damn stage
after Cadel got the jersey, a breakaway have gone in with about 12 minutes.
It's really annoying, because I don't get a single stage win. Well, I did actually manage to win the TT in Liège, but thats it. Anyone else got the same problem?? |

Not really. I played 2 Tours with RSNT (2nd in the first one and 1st in the second one) and both BMC and SKY got the maillot jaune. It was rare to see a breakaway win but sometimes it happened. Chase it for yourself then  . And a small tip: Do a lot of attacking in mountain stages. You will really need it.

Yeah, I've just finished the 18th stage. I was 1 minute behind Cadel, and Sanchez 30 seconds behind Cadel. This was the last mountain stage, I knew I had to attack and get a pretty nice lead. We were a little more then 4 minutes behind the breakaway at the start of the mountain. I attacked pretty early at the mountain, so it turned out that I won the stage, and took 1,37 to Evans and Sanchez. Probaly not enough, I have 30 seconds to Cadel before the TT. But, at least I will get top 3. |

played with Sky and Garmin
with Sky, all breaks caught obviously
with Garmin, 3-4breaks in mountains and hills, 2 on flat stages, 1 after a crash
i find the game realistic about ai chasing, much better than actual pcm |

I wasn't even close. Evans is OP on TT in this game.
Lost 2 minutes, and I did ride a very good TT with Schleck, because I did beat Sanchez.(!) 2nd overall.

The reason the breakaways it drove in on the flat stages is becaus of Hushovd is there sprinter .. not because he has the yellow.
Are you simulating to much it also happening , try drive all section especially the mountains then you see an hole other result ..
And you can beat Evans Easily with Andy if you dont make attacks all time, but in stead make small attacks and drive in one speed uphill all the time .. i have posted a hole tour de france which i have posted here on forum

I've noticed a few odd things in the games I've played but generally the breakaways are brought back fairly effectively and realisitcally by the the yellow jersey if they are a GC threat or the sprinters' teams. |

I ended up having 1 minute of advantage on the Elysees. 1 good way is to attack really hard but making sure Evans is with you. When you are alone with him(1 extra guy is possible too) just keep a steady pace so you can drop him but you still have energy left. He will be alone, so he will lose some energy like you and you can make the difference. I did it and it worked.

It was mentioned in several other threads.
The option "passive multiplayer AI" might also influence the singleplayer AI.
So you should make sure that you don`t have this active.
With a passive AI I wouldn`t be surprised if the breakaway wins if you don`t do the pace on your own.
