17th December, 8am

''The cellphone rings. It's the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, and he doesn't sound to happy with me.''

HC - ''Mr. António, get your ass here in Venezuela.''

Me - ''Why? The team presentation is still three days away.''

HC - ''Si, si, pero I need to present you to el NATION!!!''

Me- '' ???''

HC - ''You have 5 hours or your fired''.

I think to myself '' WTF??? The season hasn't even started and his already srewing with me? This will be a long year.''

img846.imageshack.us/img846/6/3dayslater2.jpg

20th December, 12pm

I'm tired of eating venezuelan food, but it's time for the team presentation. I'm here with the president of Androni and Hugo Chávez.

'' Hello and welcome to TV EL NATION!!! for the presentation of the best cycling team ever (me laughing my ass off backstage), ANDRONI VENEZUELA. We are here with team manager, Miguel António, the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez and the president of Androni, Antonio Castano.

As this is the team presentation, we're gonna start speaking with Mr. António.

Reporter - Mr. António, who are the riders that are gonna represent the team in 2012?

Me - Well, what about showing them?

i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/SemTtulo.png

And Franco Pelizotti, who decided not to come for the pictures section, because he was to occupied eating cookies and drinking milk in his house in Italy.

Reporter - Thank you for that comment, Mr. António. What about the stats, do you have the team stats?

Me - Yes, I have here a picture of the stats.
Here you go:

i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/PCM0001.png

Reporter - Thank you. Now it's time to talk to the sponsors. Let's start with our great president, Hugo Chávez.

HC - Hello pais. Sou eu, el grande HUGO. Sou el presidente desta nation e el main sponsor of Androni Venezuela.

Quickly, I interrupt.

Me - What? Androni is the main sponsor, Señor Chávez,

HC - Ok, me desculpe. But my goals are this:

i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/PCM0002.png

Reporter - Thanks, Señor presidente. And now, let's turn our attencions to Antonio Castano, president of Androni. Hola, Señor Castano.

AC - Thanks, I'm the director of Androni, and I hope that Mr. António does great here and takes this team to the top of cycling.

Reporter - But what are your goals for the team?

AC - These are my goals:

i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/PCM0003.png

Reporter - Thanks, that's all we have for. But what about the calendar?

Me - That we'll be a suprise over the year.

20th December, 20pm

I'm sitting at home, waiting for the 1st race, the Tour de San Luis. See you there. But I keep thinking if this is the right choice?

A question: Rujano for GC (Giro and Vuelta) and Pelizotti (Mountain Tour)?

@sutty 68 - Thanks. I hope it too.
@slbmangas - Probably Rujano will try for the Mountain jeresey in the Giro and the Vuelta. We didn't get a wildcard for the Tour, so that's probably already out of equation.

1st stage of the Tour de San Luis should be updated in the next couple of minutes.

Tour de San Luis Preview

''Our first stage race of the year, the Tour de San Luis. As there are many big teams that are present, the goal is for a top 15, because of the Time-trial. Hugo Chávez told me that the Prime Minister of Sport would be in the car with me all the race, that means alot of screaming if I fail.''

The team
i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/PCM0004.png

Led by Serpa, his good climbling abilities should display a good show in the mountains of Argentina. Felline leads the team at the sprints and he should try for sprint wins.

Route

i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/PCM2012-08-0415-52-05-94.jpg

i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/PCM2012-08-0415-56-15-53.jpg

A good puncheur with TT ability should take this. Serpa has to attack in every climb. Altough, my goal is to win the KOTM jersey. Felline could have a chance in the stage 6, has there is a hard climb that could drop the top sprinters.

And the first attackers of the Continental Season are here. James Vanlandschoot (Accent-jobs) and Sven Vanthourenout (Landbroukredit) create a gap and are the mens of the BOTD.

i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/PCM0008.png
In the entrance of the last 5km, the Europcar train is in the front. Felline is in the wheel of Guardini, but eventually has to swtich to Corioni, as Guardini get's blocked.

i1076.photobucket.com/albums/w443/Rochinha98/PCM0009.png
And the win goes to Sebastian Chavanel. He beat Guardini and Turgot for the win. He also takes the lead in the GC. Felline fínishes 11th on the stage.
