I have touched this subjecy in another thread and followed the advice given by roturn. But the problem persists in 1.3 I cannot use the editor. I can start it but when trying to load a file OR asking it to create a new stage it simply CTD.
There is no message as to why it do that or not even a crash file. I have a feeling that it might be related to XP but I haven't got a clue what might be the problem
i.e I have uninstalled-reinstalled etc. (although not from 1.0 as my first gamefile is called 1.1.02 (I think)
Anyone has an idea what's the problem.?
(I have made another version which uses 1.2 and no problem there)

The problem seems to have been introduced in 1.3.0.0, so did you try installing a previous patch? (just install it over the old one)

Well I reinstalled on another drive from scratch (I have 4 to choose from) and installed 1.2 there,so I can use the editor on the other driven and then export it to the 1.3 where there are no problems playing it. But it just annoying and takes up space. |

You don`t even have to use another drive. I have 5 installations of PCM12 in the same Cyanide folder for different DB`s and patches. You just need to rename one folder, then you can install the next one.

It is a matter of space left I'm afraid (on my side) C is down to 19 GB (I have to clean up there) and D was 45GB whilel F-Z are mostly storage drives. I'm just wondering as it seems to be the same every year. Cyanide repairs something and then another thing goes wrong...I'm quite a ptient fellow but having watched this in 3 years,im pretty close of saying "This is not good enough" .....but I haven't said it yet |

As said I have no problems with the stage editor and the new patch. So I am not sure if it`s really a Cyanide bug.
Have you tried to reinstall PCM completely and then 1.3.0.0?

As roturn wrote, you would have to use the editor from an earlier patch. If you bought the game from steam, then you are f*cked. Contact the steam support.
