Also, great to see Voigt on the podium of his (likely) last TdF.

Didn't he say that he'd be back next year?

I may be mistaken though.

Remember how last year we were all amazed that Gilbert had completely annihilated the record for CQranking points in a season and said it couldn't possibly ever be equalled?

Yeah, for the past 12 minths Wiggins has just a tiny bit less points. I don't even know what to say to that.

He's like 700 points down, actually. Given that he won't ride the Vuelta, I doubt he'll beat Gilbert's record.

Damn, you edited too fast. Pfft

He's looking at 500 points if he wins both the Olympic and Worlds TT. I don't know what else he'll ride, but I guess he'll pick up a few points in the Tour of Britain or something.

I think we're pretty much guaranteed a new CQ record, assuming his TdF celebrations don't last as long as the party following the 2004 Olympics.

Edit: Oops, maybe not guaranteed. I looked at the 'current' points, not his 2012 points. He can still beat Gilbert though.

Cavendish seems to riding himself into form. If Goss have sucked this tour..then what a heck you talking about. Yep no stage win..but he has been always there.
Sagan protest spoiled he´s chanches for green. Stabile..great nr. 2-3 sprinter on this tour..is this that bad?

Sagan was right when he protested so Goss spoiled his own chances by being idiot. I still think he rode a good Tour.

You cant argue with Guido here, he is mad about this.
Instead of giving a credit to Sagan, who was unbelieveable througout the whole Tour in just 22 years, he is still insisting on fact that Goss lost the jersey because of that. Smile
Goos is 150 points behind Sagan, it would need something like 3 stage wins and some intermediates and Sagan sitting at home to alow Goss having a chance on green. So Guido please wake up and give boy a credit he deserves. Goss was actualy only the fourth best sprinter in the Tour and given the fact Greenedge was supporting him fully, it was not very good performance. Stable but nothing great. Wink

Goss did pretty much lose interest in the jersey after it though. So they didn't try to bring Sagan back when he attacked etc. Sagan would still have won but not by anywhere near as much.

That could be true, but still it does not change a thing on fact, that it was fault of Goss, no one else. He broke the rules and got punished. Than it is their problem if they are chasing or not, it is easy to do nothing and cry.

Gosh i was really not expecting questioning the green of Sagan here. Are you guys just doing that to turn me into the red zone? Pfft
He had 420 points! Almost hundred more than Cav last year...

Avin - First of all i have to say a big well done to Peter Sagan for going home in the Green jersey Smile

But had Cavendish not been baby sitting Wiggins then he would have easily beat Sagan to the jersey (sorry to upset you, but that is just my opinion)Wink
