What the hell is wrong with Evans today?!
He's been sick (dunno if he still is, but he should be weaker anyway) plus lack of motivation.

There is no draw to this TT. No stories to follow. Kloden in Top 10, Wiggins and Froome win stage by 2-3 mins on everyone else, and Wiggins wins Tour by like 5 minutes almost all from TT time.
Previous years have been focused on climbers and this year has been focused on the TT riders. Can't we have something like this year but with a real HC mountain finish as well to really shake up the TT specialists?
I'd love a Cobbles GT. Like 3 Mountain stages and 5-6 Cobble stages, that would be awesome.
But that would be too dangerous
I've done some quick thinking and I'm really not sure who could win that... Assuming the cobbles are fairly selective then if Evans were riding like he did in 2010/2011 then he would be a fairly safe bet. Potentially someone like Voeckler who has some decent Ronde results could also do well. But yeah... that would be bizarre to watch.

Wiggins would be the biggest favourite if the cobbles are selective enough.

It just occured to me how weird VdB looks on a TT bike. Isn't he a candidate for the cyclist with the broadest shoulders in the peloton? |

Cadel Evans is quite clearly going well, because look how long it is taking TJVG to catch him.

Fair enough, but at the checkpoint he was behind Sorensen and Impey?
Hmm.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die |

Froome only 4secs faster than LLS
as Kloden sets 2 minds slower than LLS (at finish) |

Plus a flooded water section would be cool
(Or a section that is full of tacks.)
A cobbles GT would be cool. I just hope next year's tour is a lot, but a lot, better than this boring stuff.

Check here my story with Qantas, the new Down Under hope:

Maybe... the mountains would be his big downfall. Also I just noticed his top 25 in Paris-Roubaix in 2009. If he rode like that then sure, but he hasn't done cobbles in quite a while. Evans showed in 2010 that he can ride them well, plus he has the mountain bike background. What about someone like Peraud?
@ arthon - Kern always looks like he is wearing shoulder pads, so he might have some competition.

Not a fan of the TV shots that reduce the size of the cycling just so we can see Luis Leon's face!
