Game crashes when loading 3D race

Got the game today (boxed version) and it installed fine, updated to patch 1.2.0.0 and it also installed no problems.
Loading the game itself has no problems, but going into 3D race ( for both single stage and career mode) the game crashes to the desktop and "CrashReporter has stopped working" appears. It also happens at the "Stream Read" part of loading every time.
The graphic settings were on minimum and the crash occurs both for the Realname database and Official Release database.
A huge thankyou to anyone who can help, I am really looking forward to playing the game

It does according to the Minimum Requirements on the box.
I presume this means requirements are higher than PCM2011? |

It seems PCM are 'fixing' the problem according to kirtley

Seems like most others with the problem are playing through steam though, which I am not. |

I had the same problem but the 1.2.0.0 patch fixed it im not sure why its still crashing for you. Have you tried asking on the official forums? |

this happens to me aswell, only after installing 1.2.0.0 patch...
does the patch require you to start a new career?

Guys, try turning your internet off. That fixes the Problem. But that is really weird. |
