Arent Nadal and many of the players on Spains national team (Puyol and Casillas for example) confirmed clients of Fuentes? Just that spanish goverment stopped the investigation of operation puerto.

Also you cant tell anyone what they believe or not. After following the sport for many years it is hard to not suspect everything. Most of the time it seems the suspicions been correct too. Armstrong, Basso, Contador and many many more.
From more recent cases we have learned that doping is done differently now then it was 20 years ago. The tests to catch the riders are better so it is no longer safe to do it the same way as back then. That means the results arent as drastic but just cause it isnt as extreme doesnt mean it is still not being done.

I hope Sky are clean but i cant pretend that there is no chance that they take doping or that just cause they pass a few tests i should watch them as innocent. Thanks to IssoIsso i know to much about doping to know that it doesnt matter.

If Cycling is at one end of the tackling doping scale, then Tennis is one of many at the complete opposite end!

Murray lol, He is Scottish what do you expect, no offense to them but David Millar! I don't like Murray that much as you can tell, reasons why I will quite happily post in the Tennis thread tomorrow Grin Just one thing Murray has said he wins for Scotland, one of the reasons I don't like him!

I can see how Wiggins transformed himself after losing all that weight/changing his lifestyle/priorities/whatnot. After that, he started as a good GC contender (4th in the Tour) and gradually progressed over the course of years into the top contender he is right now.

Froome is a different story. He came completely out of nowhere. Blood parasites the only thing holding him back from being one of the greatest of this generation? Please. If you'll believe he's clean, you'll believe anything. He's doped to the eyeballs and you are all willfully ignorant and blind to the fact. You ask for proof, you'll get it here in a bit when he gets banned.

Blind to fact? There is no hard facts on him at the moment Wink And a fact for you is that Pate is not as good a rider as you think he is Wink

EDIT: Either way, its nice to see a lot of people aren't classing Wiggins as a doper Grin

Lol... all this Sky doping and mass hysteria thread over their performance.
I'm having a major deja-vu (Vuelta last year).

Seriously. There's nothing weird going on here imho. Sky just have the luck that everything is falling into place, all of the puzzle pieces, at the right time. They've had a near perfect preparation. None of their team were involved in any major crashes this year or this Tour.
The two biggest TDF stars of recent years, Contador and Andy Schleck, are not participating this year.
Many of the other top 10 contenders who might have caused trouble for Sky in the mountains, have been decimated by crashes, in fact so hard that only 3/4 others remained.
It is no suprise they are dominating now. And no it's no suprise Froome beats Cancellara in a time trial. Because Cancellara, while good, is not in the absolute peak form in time trials he had 2/3 years ago. He's slightly off because of the fall he had in Flanders. Just a few weeks ago he was beaten in Suisse by Kessiakoff, and there were 5 others that stayed within 20 seconds of Cance...

So again, the mass hysteria and doping accusations are laughable.
Let's just enjoy the Tour. The first mountain stages were suprisingly good. And with so many GC contenders already far behind in the GC they won't just sit back and do nothing, but attack to win stages or improve their position now

Agreed. Good point about some of the missing contenders. Although I think Contador would be more of a danger than Andy (think his TT would cost him - unless it has improved this year).

+1, bit of a shame that it has been marred with crashes, but it could turn out to make the Tour even more exciting.

Partially agree. You can argue that Cancellara is not in his best form (although the prologue win and his climbing in Belles Finches would convince me he's near it), and that Cancellara is not the TT beast from a couple of years ago. You can say that Martin has a fractured wrist, and punctured and was nowhere near his normal. However they didn't beat only Cancellara or Martin, Wiggins and Froome beat the whole Tour de France peloton, by more than a minute.

Same thing for the mountains. Of course, Contador and Schleck are not here. But besides these two, Froome and Wiggins were better than everybody in the Tour's first mountain. And Wiggins; the mountain didn't suit him at all! Yes, some climbers/time trialists might have had their problems, falls, injuries, and couldn't compete in their top level, but Evans was better (at least as good as) everyone in both disciplines last year and now loses out to Froome, who did the pace for some kms in the mountain, and loses out to both in the TT, by some big margin. If Evans couldn't keep up with Froome's last acceleration La Planche des Belles Finches, I hardly see other injuried riders doing it in their normal conditions.

It's possible to say that Sky has had immense luck, but I disagree that this domination is "normal".

Is this just a continuation of your Nibali is rubbish theme? Grin

Anyway, the tour has been entertaining, and given Nibali attacked Contador in the Giro last year, he will at least try something at some point, even if the dink uphill on Wednesday means he will struggle to get clear there.

We are 9 stages in to the Tour
There are 12 to go, anything can, and probably will happen
If Evans beats wiggins and froome what then? are they all doped?
If Froome crashes out will we hear anything else about him possibly doping?
If Radioshack win the team classification are they all doped, or just wiggins froome porte and rogers?

1) Quite possibly
2) depends whether he does something again, his appearance on the scene will always be suspicious
3) Radioshack? Nope they are the least supicious team in the world. I would suspect a gynocologist before Frank Schleck, the greenest city in the world before Andreas Kloden, and a Babe before their Director Sportif.

I was joking, mainly about the arguements we have had over the years about Nibali vs Gesink.

The fabled match up unfortunately seems fated never to happen.

What does crashing out have to do with doping or not anyways? I can't find much logic in some of your statements.

If Wiggins and Froome keep performing the way they are and Evans beats them, then yes, as mb2612 said, he could be doping, and it'd be suspicious. If Froome and Wiggins come back to their whole-life normal in the next stages and then Evans beat them, it'll be normal.

RadioShack winning the teams classification isn't surprising or an incredible achievement. Leaving the whole TdF peloton behind in a mountain stage and a TT stage - with riders that, if someone said two years ago that "Wiggins and Froome will dominate a mountain and bla bla... in 2012" everybody would laugh at you and say you're completely out of your mind - is. But either way, Radioshack is far away from being the cleanest team of the peloton, just look at their manager (without obviously forgetting Sky's team doctor, please).
