It justifies their own bone-idleness because they can’t ever imagine applying themselves to do anything in their lives.

It’s easy for them to sit under a pseudonym on Twitter and write that sort of shit, rather than get off their arses in their own lives and apply themselves and work hard at something and achieve something. And that’s ultimately it. Cunts.”

Someone give Wiggo a gold star.

Now that is how proffesional sportsman should act. Fuck you Wiggins!

Anyway great stage, it was crazy at the beginning, half of the riders attacked at some point. Fantastic win for Pinot, this man has great future ahead of him probably, really nice talent. Zubeldia is also nice surprise, i like him.

I'd rather an answer like that from Wiggins than the usual bland nonsense that sportsmen give, or the 'I've never given a positive test' that we are used to.

Of course, because it is good to say wankers and cunts to people who are watching cycling and also thanks to these cunts Wiggins is paid for riding a bike...

+1
Love him or hate him, at least he says what he thinks. That's respectful.

He could said that otherwise than that..

Yes, some people are dickheads there but not everyone. Could have said that he is working hard, losing weight etc. instead of a not that clever statement..

If there is any evidence that there (Team Sky) or he might be doping, then this will come up and makes him look like a very arrogant idiot who doesn't regret anything. Just if he does which I don't know and I am not sure.

But with that team doctor I am not sure if Sky is very clean.

When I see then at twitter that Evans, Bruyneel (especially him?? -> ONCE??) etc. saying things like Well said to Wiggins for that..

I imagine all the top riders have wanted to say it, hence the support. It's not surprising given the self sacrifice, time away from family and hard work it takes to excel at the sport. To have it all doubted and questioned must be frustrating, especially after you have riden flat out all day and would rather be anyway but in a press conference.

BUT of course the question will be asked, this is cycling with all of it's chequered past and it's part of the job to answer such questions. He shouldn't have said it in that way - think it yes - say it no. Apart from anything else it will make his own job that bit harder as some journo's look to prompt another reaction over the next couple of weeks.

For the argument's sake, let's assume for a moment that Wiggins is 100% clean. Let's assume too that the fairy tale of cycling being so cleaner that doping is irrelevant since 2009/2010 is true. Wiggins has been a pro since 2001, iirc, which means that, during most of his career, he's been cheated by riders who were doping, gaining an unfair advantage on him.

Certainly, if that was the case for me, I'd empathize with the fans. Of course I'd feel bad that they doubt my work ethics, but there's many ways to address that other than calling people cunts.

Which is exactly what I said in the 2nd half of my post that you didn't quote Wink

I've no idea if he is riding clean or not - I hope so and intend to continue to enjoy what has been some great racing up until now Smile

Nope. You said the question would be eventually be asked, and that he should have been more diplomatic. I said that he should empathize with the skepticals. Two different things.

Exactly, because the way Wiggins reacted seems like the way of somebody who was/is doping and is angry because he is being questioned about it...

Or the reaction of someone who is kanckered, tetchy and letting off steam. Who knows - I don't claim to know. To BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR I do not condone what he said but I can understand it - letting off steam or angry at justified accusation - you decide. Time will tell and in the meantime I'm enjoying the race - if I don't enjoy racing like the last few days when am I going to enjoy it? Smile

So lets say if a rider swears during an interview they must be doping?
Reminds me of Cadel a few years ago...
