You would not be the first one to do so, but obviously this is situation is worse for you.
I never buy from steam if there is an alternative, because you have not the same freedom. Now you can just hope that Steam fixes your problem.

ok ive been reading a bunch of posts about this new patch and I'm really confused. ok my issues is this. I already started a career before downloading this patch. I'm using the Pack Basic Cym Spain DB and I'm wondering if I have to start my career ALL over again???? also I'm really excited about the renewal of sponsors and where in the game do I have to go to renew my contract?? PLEASE HELP THANKS

You should start a new career with a DB which is compatible with the latest patch but since there exists only one compatible DB you could as well continue your career. (Unless you encounter a game breaking bug )
Also remember that there will be more patches coming.

Got it to work again. Turns out you have to launch the game NOT THROUGH STEAM in order to get it to work with the recent patch.
This game really cracks me up. The thing is, I enjoy the game enough as it is that it doesn't bother me. |

The profile zoom is really a nonsense. I thought it would be the same as last year, but it seems to be a fast-bad fix.
And now the mountain, sprints and finish names don't appear when you click in the riders menu.
This is frustrating, my God! |
