This is the story of young gun Peter Sagan creating a new page in the history book, and finding himself above and beyond the past superstars of cycling. It wouldn't be easy, and many doubt this feat will never be completed. To even win 1 Grand Tour Points Competition is an accomplishment in itself, but to win all 3 in the same year everyone would think you are insane. But Peter Sagan is ready to blow everyone away in the quake of not just winning his first Grand Tour Points Competition in his first ever GT, but winning the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a Espana Points Contest in 2012. A quest that has never been completed or even tried before. Can this 22 year old take the world by storm and complete his quest for history?

The Superstar - Peter Sagan
Peter Sagan got his first taste of professional cycling when he was hired by the Dukla Trencín Mérida team, a Slovak outfit in the Continental Pro (second) division. In 2008, he won the Junior World Championship on the mountain bike in Vale di Sole. That same year, he also finished second at Cyclocross Junior World Championships in Treviso and the Junior Paris–Roubaix.
Sagan joined a Pro Tour team Quick Step for road testing but he failed to get a contract. His frustration was so deep that he decided to quit road cycling, however pressed by his family he gave it a try to Liquigas-Doimo and succeeded. Liquigas' Zanatta offered Sagan a two-year contract (2010–2011) with an option to ride mountain bikes for Cannondale. The contract has been prolonged until 2012 in April 2010. Liquigas doctors and managers were stunned by results of Sagan's medical tests saying they have never ever seen a rider of 19 years of age so physically strong and capable as Sagan. During the training camp Sagan destroyed more mountain bikes than any other rider due to his ability to put a bike through its paces. His team mates started to call him Terminator despite his quiet and very polite personality.

Sounds like a great idea! I really loved your Andy Schleck story so this one should be amazing! However, one thing. I read the first page of your Andy Schleck story and you pretty much copied and pasted the words here. No problem but its a bit weird

Giro d'Italia - Stage 1
Peter Sagan comes into the Giro without racing any races so far this season, meaning his form is rather low (70) but this is necessary if he wants to complete his quest to win all three point jerseys this year.
Below you can see the team Liquigas have sent here to Italy along with Sagan:
Liquigas also have to look after team leader Vincenzo Nibali throughout the 21 stages as he has a chance to walk away with the overall classification.
But he too comes in with bad form as he is saving up for the
Tour de France which will be without Contador this year.
Peter Sagan is our main focus for the next few months
as we follow him through his quest, so don't expect to much information
about GC or any of the other competitions during our journey.
So with that being said we are ready to begin!
The day starts rather early for Sagan as he is the 29th rider out of the
start house and the 2nd Liguigas rider to take to the course.
At the checkpoint Sagan goes 2nd fastest behind American George Hincapie
and is looking good. To pick up points today he will need to finish in the top 15. Not many at stake today but they certainly add up in the end.
At the finish Sagan loses some speed in drops to places from the checkpoint finishing in provisional 4th. Not very good considering 150 more riders still have to come through. But we will have to wait and see.
Our television contract only allows use to follow Sagan,
so we had to abide by the rules and turn the camera off.
The rest of the day just saw Peter slip from the top of the leader board,
it was clear his form needs some work. Soon he has dropped
from the top 10, then out of the top 15.
He wasn't going to collect any points today, not the start he wanted.
He eventually ended up in 20th, 23 seconds off the winner and first wearer of the pink jersey Geraint Thomas. So Sagan gets off on the wrong step,
but he has a few flat stages to recover starting with one tomorrow.

@baseballlover312: It takes a while before you figure out what works for you and what looks good. You have to start somewhere and just stick at it. I have been writing for 2 years plus now so don't get disappointed  Also learn from other writers.
@mattie524: Yeah I kinda of got lazy, nobody was suppose to know But it all fit nicely so I thought mind as well keep it. You get a cookie for finding my laziness

By the looks of it, Goss, Petacchi and Farrar are the best sprinters, but if anyone other than Sagan takes it I'm tipping a climber.

Giro d'Italia - Stage 2
Time to get right back on the saddle after missing out on the points on stage 1. Sagan was some tougher competition here in Italy then expected with Tyler Farrar, Alessandro Petacchi, Francisco Ventoso,
Mark Renshaw, Gerald Ciolek, and Danilo Napolitano.
But you can't rule out the climbers either as the
mountains hand out points as well.
So Sagan needs to open his account today to get the ball rolling.
Liquigas takes to the front early in hopes of
keeping everything together for the early sprint point.
Although the points are minimal (8,6,4,3,2)
they do add up over the course of 21 stages.
And with the help of GreenEdge they get the job done.
So we will see our first sprint of the tour.
Should be interesting to see who competes.
Sagan gets boxed in a little bit and has to settle for 4th (3 points).
3rd to Matthew Goss, American Farrar in 2nd and Yauheni Hutarovich surprisingly takes the maximum of 8 points.
Looks like the sprinters are saving energy by letting Hutarovich win the sprint.
Following the sprint the peloton slows up allowing a 5 man breakaway to get away. However Liquigas and GreenEdge continue to pace the front.
Strange not to see Garmin helping out
considering they have the best sprinter in the field with Farrar.
But none the less the green jerseys of Liquigas and GreenEdge do the job and bring the breakaway back as the red points jersey is up for grabs.
A very tricky run in towards the finish today with a tight roundabout with 2kms to go. Fabio Sabatini does a great job leading out Sagan,
however there are reports over the race radio that a few sprinters
didn't get so lucky as Sagan. Looks like Peter caught a break today,
as he charge towards the finish.
It's an incredibly fast sprint as our camera could only manage a screenshot with a kilometer to go and then at the finish. We should be more prepared next time to capture a few more pictures. Sagan jumps out of Sabatini's slipstream with 800 meters to go, but behind the other sprinters are gaining fast. Expect for ...
Tyler Farrar as he took the roundabout to fast and slipped to the back of the peloton. Not the start Farrar had in mind but he did pick up points on the opening stage so it's not the end of the world for Tyler.
The cameras flash as Francisco Ventoso proves to be the fastest sprinter
followed by Italians Alessandro Petacchi and Danilo Napolitano.
Christopher Sutton and Sacha Modolo fill up the top 5 before our cover guy Peter Sagan caps off his first sprint stage with a 6th.
Which is good enough for 10 points
plus tack on the 3 from the checkpoint gives a total of 13.
The 13 points place him in 9th and 16 points off the leader Geraint Thomas. Gerald Ciolek, Mark Renshaw, Andrea Guardini,
and Roberto Ferrari finish out your top 10.
