Well I think Gomez Marchante could have lost a lot more time than he actually did, so that's good.

Everytime my French champion attacks - I just imagine a French commentator going ... Gadreeee...

But this race isn't quite cutting it for my team, the problem is what is making this race so exciting. The GC guys jousting on every tough stage!

Going to be a big battle royale in final week - we see nothing from Carmeuse or Spyker unfortunately else Cunego's failure to dominate could really put the pressure on his team in their home country.

This! Grin

That wasn't bad, Henao only lost a time on Ricco and a few seconds on Cunego, so that I think is even really good. Smile

Nice to see Machado being true to the kind of rider he is irl, attacking like crazy and falling short in the end Pfft

The way Henao is riding suggests Uran could have won this race. Curses.

Good for us Cunego has taken a second stage - fine performance to win that one. Ricco and Henao did well to hang with him.

Think it was probably a mistake sending Abal as support - he's too good a climber so Cunego ends up waiting too long to attack. Still, I think the balance in this race is shifting towards Cunego and PT survival. Quite interestingly poised still.

If you wanted a good Colombian climber in future seasons, you shouldve bought Quintana last season Pfft

Rigo doesnt understand though, why a Colombian team would bring an Italian along to try to stop a Colombian winning the race!

It's revenge for last year when Rigo stopped Gomez Marchante getting a stage win for all of Colombia at the Tour de France. Rigo needs to stop thinking in terms of personal glory for himself and think of his country!

I think youll find Gomez Marchante was doing his upmost for the Colombian nation. Avoiding the shame of highlighting that the Colombian team is not 100% Colombian, by helping a Colombian to win a TDF stage win and take the maillot jaune!

Very good ride by Ricco, surprised he didn't get the win though, as he was almost passing Cunego. Next screen gave me a reality check though.

Overall is still possible, but i hope we can atleast hold the podium.

Good to see B&O with a stage win and wildcard Red Bull with at least some time in a jersey.

at least some time... C'mon Kim snatch those KoM race winning points away from likes Solis and Cunego and ignore those South American snipers on the minor mountains in the last two mountain stages.

Some strong stages from us here - moving us into the lead of the team competition. Guldhammer was going to be hard to beat in the sprint for the stage but credit to Kim Kirchen for another second place.

It does make me wonder whether a team of barouders (which is pretty much what JRB is this year) can have some success in the Protour?

Some maybe, but I don't think enough to stay up.

I would be happy if you proved me wrong though Grin.

I can live with that. All you can ask for on a stage with a downhill finish is for the AI not to let a dangerous rider get away.

Judging by fact Abal led peloton home they had an all day snooze.
