I just got pcm11 today (june 2, 2012), how should I go about updating it? Should I click yes at the start of the game when it says an update is available? Or just add a patch? Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to install the patch is to download it here and then install as admin. Right click the downloaded file and then select 'run as admin'

Thanks, I installed it from from your link Lachi. I played right after, got my first win too! I didn't notice any real difference from the first time I played but at least I'm current. Also are there any other updates/patches I should install?

Well, most people also prefer to install a better DB than the official one. Which one goes from how much content you want. If you're satisfied with only having the real names, you can download a real name DB (if there are any compatible with the latest patch). There are also smaller DBs, which contain real names, real jerseys, and then there are the big packages, like the PCMDaily ones, which have more races, several variants (=different routes for the biggest races so that you won't be playing the same initial route every year), and more that you can find on the list of features of each DB. This one is from the PCMDaily DB. And if you do download a DB, you'd probably want to download a 2012 one with updated teams, rosters, etc. This is the latest version of the PCMDaily 2012 DB:

I think I'll play one year at least on the old roster before I change it up, so I get to play 2 games in a way

What DB do you all suggest? I would like the 2011 season to begin with, assuming I can get another DB later for the 2012.
And yeah, a season planner I totally missed that! That's what I'm looking for! Is it difficult to install? I'm not very savy with my laptop/programs/internet 2.0
ps I'm looking at the DB thread but I'm a little intimidated to pull the trigger.

There is the PCMDaily Expansion Pack, which is the 2011 DB of the site, and can be downloaded here:

And the season planner, I don't think you even need to install it, just unpack  It's 1.4 MB, so it can't be really hard

okay so I did some searching and it looks like I'm going with PCM.daily's Expansion Pack V1, how ever it's telling me to uninstall reinstall... And I have no idea how to do this. I searched pcm and got something close "How to reinstall without reactivating?" But even then is assumes you know how to un/re install. As for the Season planner, I don't have a torrent downloader or even know what a torrent is! haha Man I'm bad at this... Maybe I should just play the game as is???

Did you ever uninstall a program on your computer, uninstalling a game works the same. But since you only started to play this game, you DON'T have to reinstall, just download and install the DB.
You don't need a torrent downloader for my season planner. But you would need a tool to unpack it, for example this free tool: http://www.7-zip....
If you don't want the hassle of downloading and installing a huge DB (5 GB), then have a look in the download section. There you can find DBs which fix the names of the teams, riders and races but are easier and faster to download.

Like I said, you need a tool to extract the planner from the downloaded file.
Extract all files into a new folder.
After you did this, just start the planner by double-clicking the file called PCM_SeasonPlanner (or PCM_SeasonPlanner.exe)
