My god, Agnel was strong! Shock Phelps as well, but yeah, Lochte wasn't.

Not sure there's much to lol about. France have a very consistent pool of crawl sprinters (and they're well-prepared too, look at Muffat's face and tell me those cheek bones have nothing to do with HGH Pfft).
Word was that the qualifying events two months ago for the individual events at the games were a tougher competition than the European Championships.
Strangely enough, swimming is a bit like cycling, and unlike athletics, you don't need to do a minimal performance to qualify, the number of athletes per country is limited.

Isn´t there a strange swim club in Marseille or so where a lot of French swimmers had Sky-like improvements? But in the Sky thread we already learned it´s only the training methods. Pfft

Most train in Marseilles, Nice or Antibes. One of my mates was there last year (the whole year) and still goes there every other week-end now. So he got to meet them all.
I'm not sure in which of them it is, but all those who changed club became asthmatic there.

If it was just asthma and ventoline that wouldn't be as bad as it looks. I mean look at their faces. I know some people have weird faces, etc. but I'm not naive enough to think that people with normal faces all grow big chins, big cheek-bones and foreheads (as well as being very muscular, though that makes sense for swimmers, especially sprinters), without using and abusing HGH.

Of course this is all jealousy by me, and it's well-known that it's only about training methods and small margins. Pfft

Yep, they're the second team which put themselves out of contention because of their arrogance in the Olympics so far. So much for a sure medal in football.

No big suprises in the woman gymnastic qualifications. One Little suprise; Australia didn't make it to the final of the team event. Also Jordyn Wieber(World Champion all round) didn't make it to the individual allround final, although she was fourth, there just two Americans better.

You're just jealous that the French have awesome training methods and because your country will never be as awesome as them because your country's sportsmen don't work hard enough. Oh, wait Pfft

Americans performing well without the amazing Gold medalist from 2008, Shawn Johnson.
Who at 20 years old has had to retire because of a serious knee injury she suffered whilst skiing in 2009. She would have bumped America's medal tally abit more for Gymnastics Smile

With Wieber, Raisman, Douglas and Maroney (and Ross in some way) the americans will certainly win three or four gold medals in gymnastics.

Very easy on the eye, it's how I became a fan of her, was gutted when she retired, I loved watching her in Beijing, I stayed up all night every night the Gymnastics were on to watch her Grin

Also the Romanians tend to be nice looking Grin

I'm pretty sure being easy on the eye is one of the requirements for making it to the olympics in gymnastics.
How hard can it be?

I am staying at the Kings Arms Hotel, not too far from the finish. I will be probably trying to get a position as close to the finish as possible. Should all meet up and finally meet you guys in person either during or after, my train ain't until near 7pm so I will be hanging around for a while after it.
