A couple of months ago there was talk of a UK Championship. From that, some of the Continental Americans discussed having one for them(us).
So veila(obviously spelled wrong )!
...Anyone have ideas?
Note: This is only for North and South American members.

By this you mean only New World riders or New World teams? (using New World for lack of a better term) |

Okay, I give up. Where were all the people who discussed this on the UK thread? Whatever.

It was only you and valv who discussed it on the UK thread , and i would be willing to compete, but i don't think there is a time we can set something up because people are so busy.

July-August is the best for North American's as about 75% of us are likely to be students, and would therefore be on summer holidays.
That said, I plan on having a job in the summer so I dont know when this would work.

I totally agree with July/August. Do you know your work hours (we could have it at night or day)?

I can do it in July and maybe the 1st week in August, and more than likely anytime during the day(or night) will work for me(unless i also get a job )

I'm generally against the idea of having one UK championship, one US, one Canada. Why not make them "open" / joined? More participators in general, more fun.

Says the person who won stuff in the Danish national championships last year If people want a chance to have a national championship like various other countries, theres nothing wrong with that. Only fair that they have a chance to get one going - if numbers are found for it to me worthwhile.
Theres nothing stopping 'open' competitions also being created at the same time.

I'm not saying it's wrong - I'm just saying I personally think it's better to combine countries which don't have a community of its own, e.g. USA, UK etc.

True, and I guess thats what baseball was thinking by looking to incoporporate the whole American continent in a bid to gain numbers. The whole timezone issue means that its not particularly plausible to come this with any European countries like UK - the latest that we are able to play is often a bit too early for those over the Atlantic.

yes, this is for all the continents of America. I'd combine with UK, but I agree with SN, the time would be hard.

Now that the UK did it, I was wondering about drawing more people with there ideas. So like in UK, only americans would score points, but anyone could join and compete if they are around at the time.
