I'm starting to believe it. The whole city of Herning is basically looking like a gay festival at the moment with pink flags on every single street light.

But seriously, I've always found the leaders jersey in the Giro the "fruitiest" of all the jersey out there.

Yay, Germany has less riders than Poland, Venezuela, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and as many as Luxembourg, Argentinia, Portugal, Sweden, Belarus, New Zealand and Czech Republic.

He couldn't even win a sprint stage at the Tour of California this time last year, as a 3 star favourite

I think Scarponi can do it. He is on solid form and I think Basso might be slightly off.

My prediction:
1.Scarponi
2.Basso
3.Kreuziger
4.Rodriguez
5.Rujano
6.Pozzo
7.Gadret
8.Cataldo
9.Nieve
10. someone like Pinnoti, Hesjedal,Uran, Intxausti
Cunego,De Clerq, Szmyd winning one of the mountain stages.
Meersman with a stage win, Cav with three stage wins and Goss with two.
Frank Schelck failing (i hope).

Szmyd winning a stage? Well, he is my favourite polish rider, but I'm sure he won't fight for the stage win, when Basso will fight for GC. But who knows, Giro is always surprising and Szmyd seems very strong this year

I'll go for a prediction too.
1. Basso
2. Scarponi
3. Rodriguez
4. Schleck
5. Rujano
6. Hesjedal
7. Cunego
8. Uran
9. Kreuziger
10. Cataldo
Basso and Scarponi will be very close. But I think Basso will be super strong in the last week, and destroy everyone on the Stelvio. His winning margin will still be less than a minute.
Rodriguez should be a solid podium bet, as long as his form is better than in the Ardennes. I also think Schleck will be better than most people expect, battling with Rujano for fourth place.

Kreuziger will have to crash to finish behind Hesjedal and Uran
You really not believe in him ,he finished 5th in better competition last year. But i agree with first two places.
Also i doubt a bit that Rujano will make it to Italy better than 5 minutes back or so.

I've got nothing against him, I'm just a bit unsure about his form. I can easily see him cracking a Top 5, or even challenging for the podium if his form is on top.
Couldn't agree more about Rujano though. He'll be on the podium if he reaches stage four without multiple minutes to make up on the other favourites.

Thomas Dekker has pulled out of the starting list, he's still not feeling 100 % after he hurt his knee in Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Article didn't tell who'll replace him.

did you see him at Punta Veleno? he almost didn´t reach top of that monster climb...indeed, it doesn´t mean he won´t be in top shape a month later.
I can´t wait, this year it will be very very interesting battle for overall till Milano IMO.

He was clearly soft-pedalling at Trentino. The fact that he was 8th at L-B-L is enough to see he's getting in shape when it matters.
