If he does that he will miss the time cut, which would be amazing
No, it would suck.
I want to see him get dropped in the mountains and make excuses.

Let´s take about 2,5 seconds per kilometer, multiply it with 9 and you get:
22.5
Keep in mind there are cobbled sections...
22.5 x 2 = 45
... and 17 corners:
17 x 3 + 45 = 96
plus about 10 seconds for the wind and you get
106 seconds
Missing form and motivation:
106 x 1.15 = 121,9

Flawless
Basso put in a good time - maybe his form is building nicely?

More seriously, 59 seconds for Schleck isn´t that bad. At least it shows he has the form the get a Top10 if he got his butt off.
Scarponi with a bad day or bad form.

This is already shaping up to be quite interesting. Scarponi, Schleck and Basso already losing time to Kreuziger and Rodriguez (somehow).
Finally, at 3:30am I can go to bed.

Don't make fun of Schleck! I mean, it's not his fault. How is he supposed to win there's a time trial, corners, cobbles, wind... and other riders there.

And, after one stage:
| Hesjedal | +29 | | Kreuziger | +36 | | Basso | +39 | | RodrÃguez | +43 | | Pozzovivo | +55 | | Schleck | +59 | | Cunego | +1'03 | | Scarponi | +1'06 | | Rujano | +1'07 | | Gadret | +1'16 |
Not a good start for Scarponi, Basso did a good ride and is almost 30 secs in front already.

I'd add Uran to that list. At +46 secs

Terrible performance by Scarponi. Doesn't look promising.
Basso, Rodriguez and Kreuziger looks the best to me. Could turn out to be a very interesting Giro. Hesjedal was very strong as well.

And if you remove Phinney's time, it's like this:
| Hesjedal | | Kreuziger | + 7 | | Basso | + 10 | | RodrÃguez | + 14 | | Pozzovivo | + 26 | | Schleck | + 30 | | Cunego | + 34 | | Scarponi | + 37 | | Rujano | + 38 | | Gadret | + 47 |

Hesjedal may actually be in pretty good form
I was not expecting him to be ahead of Kreuziger or Basso in the Prologue.
Does anyone have the full list of results for the stage? I want to see where Frank and Cataldo ended up.
