Denifl is our outright team leader for stage races, a promising Tim-Trialer and climber who has a wealth of experience after riding for teams such as Team Cervelo and Leopard-Trek.

Valls will be our alternate leader to Denifl, he will have a lot of freedom here compared to teams he's previously ridden for where he has had to work for someone else the majority of the time. He also brings a ton of experience with him to help the younger riders.

Cimolai will be our main man in the flatter stages. A former track rider, he was bought into the team for his rapid acceleration and speed. Also very experienced from riding 2 years with Team Liquigas, He is a very promising young rider who is hoping to start posting positive results with Team JB-HIFI.

Van der Lijke comes to the team after 2 years of riding with the Rabobank development squad. He is by far our most promising rider, and with good nurturing, in the near-distant future will more then definetly be the Leader of our team.

Our sponsor's goals are pretty unrealistic, so we've set some of o ur own:
***** Top 10 finish - Giro del Trentio
**** Top 5 finish - Vuelta a Austrias
*** Top 10 finish - Milano-Torino, Tour de Vendée, Japan Cup
** Top 10 finish - Skoda tour of Luxembourg, Glava Tour of Norway
*Top 5 finish - Volta a Portugal, Stage win - Pres. Tour of Turkey
*Also, the team's budget is abnormally large for some reason, a bug?

Note: I played through the Aus. championships and Tour of Langkawi before starting this story to see if I liked the team, so there won't be any reports on those races.
Brief Summary: The team, with Rafael Valls took out the Young riders classification at Langkawi, and also picked up 2 stage wins . The first stage was won by Glenn O'Shea, and the 6th by Travis Meyer. We held the leaders jersey for 2 days with 2 different riders and Valls finished 4th overall behind Lastras.
And our February Calendar:
6th-10th: Vuelta Mallorca
20th-24th: Vuelta Andalucia
27th: Classicade Almeria

It is a tought race this year with a bit of climbing. Hopefully the team can hold on, especially on the last stage which will most likely decide the GC. After our successes in Langkawi, we don't expect a great deal in this race.

Startlist:

An un-eventful stage today, let the other teams do the work and go for the win in the final few kilometres, and possibly a late breakaway attempt.

The first European race for Team JB-HIFI, and there's riders trying to get away from the gun!

More riders attempt to breakaway, and there is three 4-5 riders groups all at least 2 minutes ahead of the peloton.

The 3 groups finally merge. The most notable riders in the 13-rider break are M.Fothen (NSP), R. Osuna (Andalucia) and M. Minguez (Euskaltel).

With 40km to go, the break still has 3 and a half minutes lead, so Team JB-HIFI and GreenEDGE begin pushing hard at the front.

With 34km to the finish, J.Pantano (COL) falls, but luckily isn't hurt. He struggles in chasing the now roaring Peloton. He won't catch them.

With 27km to go, the break still has nearly 2minutes 30 seconds! Can they make it? The team begins pushing harder, Valls and Cantwell are both looking good today.

With 8km to go, the break holds a 28s advantage, and Valls attacks over a small hill!

He then joins, and quickly rides away from the break group. Only Minguez (EUS) can follow him, but maybe his form wasnt as good as he thought?
The break reels back Valls and Minguez, to be then quickly swept up by the rampaging peloton after a on-going game of cat and mouse. A.Cappelle (ACC) then blazes past everyone, still with 1.5km to go, he has a nice gap!

But wait, 800m left and Goss (GEC) comes from nowhere and so does Haas (JBH), can anyone challenge Cappelle?!

100m to the line, they're closing fast! Haas can't do it, can Goss pull it off?

Yes! Mathew Goss of GreenEDGE pulls off a marvelous and thrilling victory, he started the sprint with bad positioning a and managed to weave his way through the peloton.
A good result for us, with Nathan Haas finishing 6th.

@ baia: Thankyou I hope so as well.
@ Absintlover: He's already done a good job, so I am as well
@ sam1196: Yes, I used an effect on them, I don't really like it so I probably won't use it again
