Late august 2011 i decided to make a danish continental team with headquarter on Bornholm, a danish island south of Sweden.

Unlike rest most of Denmark, Bornholm is very hilly but have less tradition for cycling. I want to change that! i want to produce some great cyclists from this area. After a few calls i had already established contact with several potential sponsors and after alot of meeting, and alot of hard work i am ready ro present my team, staff and sponsors! More to come

The Staff

I'm the manager of the team. My main role will be the financial part of it, and making sure that everything goes as planned

Our Director sportif and supervisor. The former professional Jakob Piil will bring a lot of experience to the team and his main role will be as supervisor for the young cyclists.
So far it's just me and Jakob, but when the team becomes bigger we will make sure to get the necessary staff
Soon the riders! |

Now for the actual team!

This is the boys who will bring fame and fortune for our sponsors! The only guy not from Bornholm is Kasper Jebjeg. It is no secret that we got him because we will need some victories!
LEADER

Kasper: Our Main guy for the sprint - Also the oldest and most experienced guy. He will show the rest of the team how to win!
Lieutenants

Mads: Our secondary sprinter, and leadout for Kasper. He will surely get some chances to prove he can will himselft, but for now he will serve as leadout-man!

Magnus: The danish U19 champion, and surely a great talent! he will be our leader on the hills, but for now the pressure is off him because he's young. I don't expect results the first season or two.
Soon The January and February calender, and a comment from Poul Pava! |

January

Our very first race: Tour de San Louis! when we asked for an invitation we didn't expect to get it! but we got it. Our goal in the race is to be in most of the morning breakaways, and maybe a top 10 with Kasper Jebjerg, but it's early in the season so we are not expecting big results.
February

A Lot of french races, and our goals are the same as above, as there are many strong teams in the races just like San Louis.
The team presentation is almost done, but before we go home Poul would like to say a few words.
Im very happy to see that the team is ready to get out there, and do what they do best. I invested a lot of money into the team, and i hope that the Manager will use them wisely. Good Wind out there guys! |

Tour de San Louis
An important day for us. Our first race ever. Therefor we bring some of our strongest riders. They are:

The full start list:
Stage 1

On this flat stage we will try with a breakaway. If the breakaway doesn't succeed we will try to get a top 10 with Jebjerg in the sprint. If possible we will try to take the KOM jersey, it should be easy enough, if we get a strong rider into the early break
Race rapport:

This first picture, is to show you our jersey, designed by Poul Pava.
Now to the serious part!

After a few kilometers a breakaway is formed, and we are represented. R.Jørgensen is the guy. Lets see what he can do

The Breakaway can see the top of the hill. They guy to reach the top first gets to wear the KOM jersey tomorrow, and R.Jørgensen is nicely placed.

He opened the sprint first, and won! It's already looking great for the team
The first and second sprint doesn't bring any good. R.Jørgensen is badly placed both times.

With 35 km to the finish, Astana decides that it is time to reel in the breakaway! the cap is 1m 50 sec

Other teams join Astana, and reels in the last of the breakaway! Now its up to Jebjerg!

With the perfect train nothing can go wrong!

But with 3.9 km to the Finish Jebjerg looses contact with his leadout! is everyting lost?

No! Degenkolb wins the stage, but Jebjerg secures 6th!
With the KOM jersey, and a top10 result this stage was a success! the guys are looking forward to tomorrow!

good start, good pics but could you change them to jpg's for the future, as this page already takes ages to load.
Also ctrl+u removes the bars at the side of the screen for an uniterupted picture
Otherwise really good

Im playing on extreme btw. Thats why i aim for Top 10, instead of Top 5 I was really surprised, if Jebjerg hadn't lost the wheel of his leadout he could have won... |

That is a nice idea and a really interesting team composition!
Also the jersey design looks very good, and adding the fact you play on extreme completes that to a great package I will surely follow.
Good luck

Good luck to you, i'm sure you will have your fair amount of challenges

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring. |

Stage 2

Today we have a hill finish ending on Mirado del Potrero(4.7km average 7%). with no great hill rider, we will have to attack from far out in order to win. We should try to get R.Jørgensen in the early break, because he needs both KOM sprints to keep the jersey.
Race Rapport

A few kilometers into the race, R.Jørgensen attacks!

A breakaway is established. R.Jørgensen and 6 others will try their luck! Here we see R.Jørgnensen win the first Mountain sprint. He is not the strongest in the group, but he is cunning like a fox!

Even though it's some strong guys sitting in the breakaway, Accent job and Project 1T4i makes sure they don't get a uncontrollable gap.

R.Jørgensen takes the second Mountain sprint! He has secured the jersey for one more day!

With 20 Kilometers left number 183 attacks! its Jebjerg. The break still ind front with 1m 25sec though!

With 14 Kilometers left, these 4, the last break-guys, has a 35sec gap to the peloton, and we have 2 guys there. R.jørgensen and K.Jebjerg!

With 10 Kilometers back, the peloton catches the breakaway. 181 is off! its M.Cort!

At the foot of the climb, the Peloton reels in M.Cort. 4.9 kilometers left and we have no more riders to attack with.

The favorites looking at each other, who will make the first move? the answer comes quickly. In the confusion M.Cort tries agian! 2.7 kilometers left!

Magnus and the devil, Only a small gap with 1.4 km left, can he make it? Degenkolb is right behind him!

He did it! No one would have expected it! a surprising result!
