Whoever's the DS should be fired
I concur! I think I had 3 helpers in the peleton and did nothing. Let the heads roll.

Why on earth did Ventoso shut the gap, and why didn't we work?

What's going on with the Tour, SN? Hope you've not abandoned it after seeing Uran working on the front day after day? |

Oooohh... Marquez makes me very happy. This has been an awesome race for us and as long as Amador finishes anywhere in the top 10, then we can consider it a tremendous success!

Keizer should join this mid stage breaks, but he didn't do good at all today, might be injured aswell, who knows.
Sucks for Festina though, not their year.

Lame that Cunego stole more time from Madrazo. I need to descend solo to victory tomorrow.

26 seconds loss to Cunego. I'll take that, above all I'm happy that Pluchkin didn''t get injured from that fall. There's still time to claw Cunego's slim advantage back!

A decent stage from Moreno and a dose of realism for Gadret in his shot for a top 10.
The team rankings is interesting for me, JRB have the riders to get in breaks so we will hopefully keep going for them. The next stage a break may just squeak it too.
The GC battle is still fairly tight and is building nicely. Cunego is beginning to build confidence for sure, but so many strong riders still within striking distance.

Pleased to see Cunego put some more time into his rivals. To steal an expression from some Italians riders, I'm pretty 'tranquil' about how he's going to handle himself in the mountains and the hills, the downhill on the next stage notwithstanding.
I think he needs about a minute going into the hilly time trial to keep the yellow and then about 3 minutes before the final TT, so there is still plenty of work for him to do even before starting to worry about crashing or the AI going crazy one stage.

Well done for getting them all in on time (I guess you did?) and thanks for getting the next stage up so quick after that. |

good to see Phinney riding well in the mountains, and great to see sprick and meier being aggressive.

So there goes my chance of succeding my goals.
Top 10 Giro - Missed

Top 5 PT - Missed
I have no fucking idea how to make my team any better next season, cause when they don't get fucked by crashes or pisspoor AI they win or come close. This is just another fucked up race for us.

My guess is you should look closer at riders that usually tend to stay out of trouble. Like your riders always get in bad positions, I'm pretty sure there are some that manage to avoid incidents.
For example, in my team, even though this is only his third race, your former rider, Ardila managed to stay out of trouble and get better places than I expected. Another example could be Plaza even though he messed up a stage in Dauphine.

Yeah but what stats are those riders better at than lets say Fothen?
I am fully aware, that I need a top sprinter for Fothen to place himself as a leadout like Urán, but that really shouldn't be necessary...

Dekker doesn't really appear to be capable of any top results in this race, but as least he managed to hold on on this stage.

I just gave those riders as examples because they are in my team and I know how their season went. I'm sure that are riders on the same level as Fothen stats wise that had a better season than him. And in the end it doesn't matter if they have weaker stats if they manage to get more points than him.

I know. But that he is crashing all the time, and others not so good aren't isn't helping me understand what I do wrong.

I think you're way too focused on "what you're doing wrong." Luck/unluck is definitely a part of the game, and you've undoubtedly been extremely unlucky so far this season. You've been unlucky, simple as that, no need to post again and again questions/comments on what you're doing wrong.
That's my view on the "case."
For the race, the reports are still great, and Cunego is starting to look comfortable in yellow. But there's still a lot of decisive stages to come, and hopefully they'll all be thrilling |

Yeah, but I don't think it's all down to bad luck. Some riders just never misses a split fx. I know some riders are good enough in the sprints to take part, and thus won't be caught out, but others aren't.
Crashes happen, and Fothen just seems to be in them. Obviously it can be down to bad luck, but seeing the ratio of leaders crashing I can't help but think it's not that random. Wiggle has been in tough luck also with crashes. Other teams seem to be hit on random basis, and some never does. I think some managers are "good" at reading the game as to how the team should be formed in order to get their leader out of the dangerzone, so to speak.
So the luck/unluck I don't buy. Not for that many races.
