Welcome everybody to my new story in 2012. First of all, I wanna say sorry to all as I wasn´t able to continue with my old stories after my Columbia Story with PCM 2009. There is still a big motivation in me, writing another successful story for you guys. You always supported my team with great comments.
Because of that, I´ve decided after the release of the great PCM.Daily 2012 DB, to start a new story.
I had some days to think about the team and after we had some great stories here with very nice teams, I took the Sky Pro Cycling Team. I really have to say, that this one is my favourite for sure. By the way, I also want to compliment roturn, tsmoha, dienblad and many many more for their great work! Keep it going guys!
So here we go with my new team. I took maybe one of the best teams in the Pro Tour but my biggest goal was to choose one with some good talents and leaders for every terrain. One of the greatest challenge might be a possible Tour de France victory with Bradley Wiggins. Surely it´s also a pleasure for me to see Mark Cavendish in our squad for another time after the Columbia Story. You can see I´m really happy with this new challenge. I would love to see you guys again with me in a hopefully exciting and interesting story. |

This is our complete team squad for 2012
Some important information about the savegame
Difficulty: Normal
Progression of attributes: 0,8
Database: PCM.Daily´s 2012 DB V1
I´m going to play on hard in the beginning, but I might switch to extreme when it´s way too easy.

Our leaders

Of course one of them is Mark Cavendish, the World Champion 2011. He might be the best sprinter on a bike right now and I´m sure he´s going to win many races in 2012, too. Anyway, it´s hard to call his biggest goal this season but the green jersey should be a must-have. Also Milan - San Remo and some other classics are quite interesting for Mark.

Bradley will lead our team in France later on. Maybe it´s stupid to say but we aspire the Tour de France victory with him this season. Might be almost impossible but there´s a small chance so we´ll try our best.

Juan is our captain for the special classics in spring. He´s still one of the best cobblestone riders and I´m sure he´ll some great performances there.
But he´s also a great man for our sprint trains. We are all looking forward to see him in front of the train, leading them out for the win.

Edvald isn´t a great talent anymore, he´s already one of the best. He´s a great allrounder, winning sprints, time trials and even some cobblestone classics in his career. He might be one of the most successful Sky-Pros in 2012. But let´s see how he´s doing. He´s also supposed to lead some nice classics in spring. Another role he´s taking this year should be the most important one for Mark Cavendish. Maybe he´s the one, leading out Mark at the Tour but we´ll see that later.

Rigoberto Uran, our man for the big classics in April. He´s the only one, who can play a good role for us there. Winning one of the greatest classics, would be amazing but this might be a pretty hard thing to reach. Anyway, we would like to see some nice result by him.

Chris was the biggest surprise in 2011 at the Vuelta. His performance over there was quite impressive, so he´s going to lead our team in Spain this year. He might be a good alternative for some smaller races as well.
There are also some protected rider in our team squad
Ben Swift : He´s riding the Giro as main sprinter for Sky with Chris Sutton on his side.
Richie Porte: The ITT World Championship is one of his biggest goal in 2012 but also the Giro might be a nice possibilty to show his strength. Together with Rogers, Siutsou and Löfkvist he´s supporting Bradley Wiggins in France.
Geraint Thomas: Another young rider, who´s getting a big role in 2012. He´s able to lead some spring classics in the first part of the season. But he´s also a good time trialist and a nice leadout man for some sprints.
So this is our team in 2012. Hopefully we´re able to celebrate a lot of great victories and nice results.

Should be a nice battle between you and Teddy The Creator, he'll do a Sky story once the final DB is released as well, iirc.
Anyway, with your experience as a story writer and the nice team choice (I don't mind at all that it's one of the strongest teams), this should become very interesting!

Thank you for the compliment! Good luck with your story!

Some very hard goals, but as Sky riders are nicely overrated in this DB you should do well

I think you're underrating Bradley Wiggins a bit! I have won Le Tour with him before, with a very similar route (lots of TTing), so don't be so sure...
Feel free to PM me if interested in any graphics work. |

Thanks guys. Indeed, these are very hard goals.
@Teddy The Creator, I´ve never underrated Wiggins, as I said there´s a chance to win the Tour but we´re not the favourite But you might be right with the TT. |
