Not really. I got files and pictures all over the place It's getting harder and harder to come up with original presentations after I have been around for so long and have seen some amazing starts to stories. Then add to the fact I have to put together three of them, it's a load of work. But well worth it

Tour of Britain
September 11-13, 2011
In an attempt to finish this season a little bit faster
I will report the Tour of Britain in 2 reports,
this one will report stages 1 through 3,
and then another will report stages 4 through 8 later this week.
I hope you guys don't mind
Stage 1
Everyone had money on a Tyler Farrar victory today. Too bad they lost all their money when Farrar hit the pavement with 25kms to go. He would get back up on his bike, but he look pretty injured after the race. The crash not only took out the best sprinter in field, but also allowed the breakaway enough time to beat the peloton to the finish. Guillaume Boivin of Team SpiderTech takes advantage to win the stage over Sven Jodts and Edwig Cammaerts.

| 1 | Guillaume Boivin | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | 2h53'31 | | 2 | Sven Jodts | Topsport Vlaanderen - Mercator | s.t. | | 3 | Edwig Cammaerts | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | | 4 | Robbie McEwen | Team RadioShack | s.t. | | 5 | Stuart O'Grady | Leopard Trek | s.t. |
Don't let the profile fool you, this is a hilly stage. After the breakaway win yesterday, a few well known names try the breakaway today including Jens Voigt and Geraint Thomas. Although there aren't many hills, the peloton does break up into groups. However most of the groups come back together in time for the finish. But two major Americans don't get back, Tyler Farrar and Chris Horner. And the peloton doesn't get all the back to breakaway for the second straight day either, Geraint Thomas beats Voigt of the win,
but Guillaume Boivin gets to keep yellow.

| 1 | Geraint Thomas | Sky ProCycling | 4h12'28 | | 2 | Jens Voigt | Leopard Trek | s.t. | | 3 | Jonathan Bellis | Saxo Bank SunGard | s.t. | | 4 | Jacek Morajko | CCC Polsat Polkowice | s.t. | | 5 | Christopher Butler | BMC Racing Team | s.t. |
Probably the hardest stage with the uphill kick at the finish, the punchuers were out for blood. Again the breakaway was a popular option, but after a few attempts were pulled back a five man group finally got away. As we reached the final climb Chris Horner makes the first move, Andrew Talansky counters. But yet again the breakaway can't be caught, Steven Van Vooren takes the stage from Kevin Lacombe and Baden Cooke. Horner and Talansky survive to beat the peloton over the climb along with Marek Rutkiewicz. Talansky becomes the new race leader by beating Rutkiewicz to the finish.

| 1 | Steven Van Vooren | Topsport Vlaanderen - Mercator | 3h38'58 | | 2 | Kevin Lacombe | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | + 29 | | 3 | Baden Cooke | Saxo Bank SunGard | + 37 | | 4 | Bert Scheirlinckx | Landbouwkrediet | + 1'04 | | 5 | Tomas Swift Metcalfe | Tavira - Prio | + 1'58 |
| 1 | Andrew Talansky | EA-Sony Ericsson | 10h49'38 | | 2 | Marek Rutkiewicz | CCC Polsat Polkowice | s.t. | | 3 | Ramunas Navardauskas | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 11 | | 4 | Ryder Hesjedal | Team Garmin - Cervélo | s.t. | | 5 | Linus Gerdemann | Leopard Trek | s.t. | | 6 | Baden Cooke | Saxo Bank SunGard | + 14 | | 7 | David Millar | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 27 | | 8 | Alessandro Bazzana | Team Type 1 | + 45 | | 9 | Rigoberto Urán | Sky ProCycling | + 47 | | 10 | Jakob Fuglsang | Leopard Trek | s.t. |

Tour of Britain
September 14-15, 2011
I decide to split it up even more with stages 4 and 5 in this report,
and then stages 6-8 for the last the report.
Stage 4
The last hilly stage before the sprinter get four flat stages to end the tour. Richard Ackerman finally puts an EA-Sony jersey in the breakaway, and picks up most of the KoM points in doing so. However for the first time this tour they are brought back with 15kms to go. From there the stage turned into a cat and mouse battle. Anyone that had anything left went after Talansky. Larsson did his best trying to set a high pace on the front, but it wasn't enough to stop Greg Van Avermaet from getting away to take the win. But that isn't the worse news, a number of attackers get a gap to Talansky. So Andrew has to give up his yellow jersey to Marek Rutkiewicz.

| 1 | Greg Van Avermaet | BMC Racing Team | 4h49'06 | | 2 | Rigoberto Urán | Sky ProCycling | s.t. | | 3 | Jakob Fuglsang | Leopard Trek | s.t. | | 4 | Chris Horner | Team RadioShack | s.t. | | 5 | Marek Rutkiewicz | CCC Polsat Polkowice | s.t. |
Richard Ackerman again gets into the opening breakaway, and gets enough KoM points to wear the jersey tomorrow. But it comes at a cost, as Ackerman ticks off many of his breakaway companions by not put in the work at the front. So for most of the day it's uncomfortable in the breakaway with riders attack each other. But some how they are keeping a gap over the peloton, so with 30kms to go Stuart O'Grady attacks from the peloton and reaches the breakaway 8kms later. And from the there the infighting increased. And when it was all said and done O'Grady and breakaway man Laurent Didier came out as the victors, while the rest of the breakaway riders were picked up by the peloton before the finish. The fresher O'Grady easily out sprints Didier for the stage win. None of the favourites lose time today as expected.

| 1 | Stuart O'Grady | Leopard Trek | 4h35'40 | | 2 | Laurent Didier | Saxo Bank SunGard | s.t. | | 3 | Thor Hushovd | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 51 | | 4 | Manuel Cardoso | Team RadioShack | s.t. | | 5 | Kevin Lacombe | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | s.t. |
| 1 | Marek Rutkiewicz | CCC Polsat Polkowice | 20h15'15 | | 2 | Ryder Hesjedal | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 11 | | 3 | Linus Gerdemann | Leopard Trek | s.t. | | 4 | Andrew Talansky | EA-Sony Ericsson | + 25 | | 5 | Rigoberto Urán | Sky ProCycling | + 35 | | 6 | Ramunas Navardauskas | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 36 | | 7 | Jakob Fuglsang | Leopard Trek | + 39 | | 8 | Alessandro Ballan | BMC Racing Team | + 47 | | 9 | David Millar | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 52 | | 10 | Dirk Bellemakers | Landbouwkrediet | + 1'02 |

Damn 25seconds...
2 options:
1st: defend that 4th place
2nd: attack and win the jersey

Tour of Britain
September 16-18, 2011
Stage 6 didn't work in 3D mode so I had to quick sim it.
And then I thought I better stay consistent
and sim the other 2 stages as well.
Stage 6
It's was about time we finally got a reagular not eventful sprinter stage. Tyler Farrar easily wins the bunch sprint over the weaker feild, but more importantly does show signs of his crash on stage 1. Jake Keough gets a nice leadout train from the boys and manages a top 10.
| 1 | Tyler Farrar | Team Garmin - Cervélo | 3h57'21 | | 2 | Kevin Lacombe | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | s.t. | | 3 | Juan José Haedo | Saxo Bank SunGard | s.t. | | 4 | Thor Hushovd | Team Garmin - Cervélo | s.t. | | 5 | Greg Henderson | Sky ProCycling | s.t. |
Almost the same result as yesturday with Farrar cruising to an easy win, however the yellow jersey doesn't have it so easy. Marek Rutkiewicz gets caught up in a big crash with 25kms to go, and is never able to return back to the peloton. So the Canadian Ryder Hesjedal picks up the yellow jersey for the final stage. Talansky gets a little unlucky as he remains 4th overall with Rutkiewicz coming in 1 second earlier to keep 3rd overall in front of Andrew.
| 1 | Tyler Farrar | Team Garmin - Cervélo | 3h03'13 | | 2 | Juan José Haedo | Saxo Bank SunGard | s.t. | | 3 | Ben Swift | Sky ProCycling | s.t. | | 4 | Thor Hushovd | Team Garmin - Cervélo | s.t. | | 5 | Davide Appollonio | Sky ProCycling | s.t. |
Hesjedal thought he had yellow all wrapped up, boy was he wrong. EA-Sony coming in had a secret weapon, Gustav Erik Larsson. Larsson had said coming in this was just a meaning less prep race for the World ITT Champs, but did he fool everyone today. Larsson attacked with 40kms to go, and reach the BOTD 3 minutes up the road. From there it was all Larsson, as he powered the breakaway with his TT skills through the course. It caught the peloton, totally caught off guard, had no answer. Larsson surprises everyone by taking the breakaway all the way to the finish, and then raising his arms above his head by winning the stage. Oh, but the good news isn't over yet. Larsson steals 1st overall as well! Now that's how you get ready for the World Championships.
| 1 | Gustav Erik Larsson | EA-Sony Ericsson | 2h13'23 | | 2 | Svein Tuft | Team SpiderTech powered by C10 | s.t. | | 3 | Tomas Swift Metcalfe | Tavira - Prio | s.t. | | 4 | Delio Fernández | Onda | s.t. | | 5 | Alexander Wetterhall | Endura Racing | s.t. |
| 1 | Gustav Erik Larsson | EA-Sony Ericsson | 29h30'19 | | 2 | Ryder Hesjedal | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 29 | | 3 | Linus Gerdemann | Leopard Trek | s.t. | | 4 | Marek Rutkiewicz | CCC Polsat Polkowice | + 42 | | 5 | Andrew Talansky | EA-Sony Ericsson | + 43 | | 6 | Rigoberto Urán | Sky ProCycling | + 53 | | 7 | Ramunas Navardauskas | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 54 | | 8 | Jakob Fuglsang | Leopard Trek | + 57 | | 9 | Alessandro Ballan | BMC Racing Team | + 1'05 | | 10 | David Millar | Team Garmin - Cervélo | + 1'10 |
