Unneccesary time loss. Probably caused by bad positioning.
Or just taking it "easy" in the final kilometres. Afterall, Martin is way down in GC, and both him and Vaughters said he was here for stage win(s), especially after the early time penalty he got. So I don't think neither Martin or Garmin care |

And even if he's aiming at a top-10/15 finish, that's also not alarming. He just lost one place for Scarponi (EDIT: didn't, nevermind), and looks stronger than him in the mountains. Anyway, great win for Sagan. Can't remember someone this young and achieving these results.
Also, nice to see Machado arrived with the Wiggins group. Surprised, thought he'd lose some time today, arriving in the Menchov/Scarponi group. It's good, but obviously, not relevant for the upcoming mountain stages. Top-20 would be nice for him, but I think he'll finish inside the top-25/30.

Don't really like the Allround jersey (I'd rather see a white jersey for the best young rider), but Mollema truly deserves that one. I mean he has been at the top in every type of stage we had so far.

What do you guys think about Fuglsang's chances on top5?

I find it hard to see it happening. He lost 50 seconds on La Covatilla and 35 on Manzaneda. Those two are easy compared to La Farrapona and Angliru.
Top 10 maximum.

Yeah, well, let's see what happens today and tomorrow.
I really liked his TT though, wouldn't mind to see him on the podium.

Because there has not been someone like him in last couple of decades

Too many very good rivals for top 5 and maybe even for top 10 |

You do realise if it was an U25 jersey, Mollema would be leader too? (he's 24)
So it doesn't really matter in this case
By the way, funny, in 2009, Gesink was in the same situation, wearing combinada jersey (although that was because he was 2nd behind valverde who was also leader), and fighting for overall win/podium.
We all know how that ended (a fall and huge hole in knee cost Gesink any chance in the final mt stage).
Hopefully Mollema doesn't fall badly so i don't get a bad deja vu

Nibali and Monfort are off the front in a group of 35
EDIT: and Nibali gets the 6 bonus seconds

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about. Many potential GC threats if they softpedal.

Surprised to see Nelson in there. It would be a better day for Paulinho or Machado.
