Hi guys!
I have decided that I would like to create and/or edit some of the equipment of PCM, more specifically, frames. Would somebody give me a brief outline on how to do this or link me to an already existing thread where this has already happened. I know where the files are, but there are three different files for each piece of equipment and this has confused me a bit.
Thanks!

I'll try and give a slight walk through, but I'm actually somewhat of a noobie compared to some other frame makers...

Obviously, the first thing you'll need is photo-editing software, with a DDS (direct draw surface) plug in. I'd recommend GIMP for this, as it's free, and the DDS plug in is easy enough to find.

Then, you're set to edit. The three files you're referring to are the _D, _S and _N. The two you need to worry about (I believe) ar the _D and _S.

_D is the actual graphic of the bike, and is what will appear in game. Editing this is somewhat self explanatory, with each piece representing a different part of the bike.

The _S file, however, is a little more complicated. As of PCM11, Cyanide introduced the auto-colour function, to make the game more colourful. This is controlled by the _S file. You'll notice, that the shapes are the same as the _D file, but it looks different; it should be all one colour, but with areas of differing transparency.

The areas with 100% opacity (so, full white; can't see any of the background checker-board pattern through it) are the areas which will be auto-coloured. By adding or removing areas of more or less opacity, you can change what parts will be auto-coloured.

Hope that was of some help Smile As I say, there are people much more well versed to provide help on such topics.

Best of luck!
