Can somebody walk me through every step to making a race using PCM Fast Editor... I have 6 stages that i want to make into a race.

I'm working on 2 guides, 1 with the editor that follows the game, and one with the Full Editor - and here is the first :
A quick tutorial on how to add races with the editor that follows Pro Cycling Manager 2011
First you need to make your stage with the stage maker. Save it, export it and copy the files you get into C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2011\CM_Stages.
Now start the DB editor and open the cdb you want to add the race to.
When opened, go to race and "add a race".
Write the name of the race, choose nationality and UCI-class (might have to wait until added the stages) and make sure to also choose the right classification XML.
Choose number of riders, the organizer email and set the right race type. Now Validate the race. (Make sure your race shows in the list on the left)
Now you can add the stage(s). Start with filling inn the name, date and stage type. When you have done this, you move your mouse button over where it says "top_tdf_09", click on it, and a new window will open.
Find your race and press "open"
Fill out the remaining ereas and validate the stage and press edit the race.
Save the DB and start pcm11. Find your race and play it to make sure it works.
When you have done this, you can go out and add the rest of the stages if you have several.

did you save the cdb in;
Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Users\<username>\Database
and remember when you have opened the game, you have to go into settings-> databases and choose the right db ...

I could not think of a reason why it cannot work, if you can select your DB in the game.
You might upload your db here to have somebody look into it.

not if the UCI-class, classification xml and race type is set corect..
edit: before you exported the stages, you did use "check stage" tool?

Open the db and check that the UCI-class and xml isn't the default.
