I have a question:is it only in Italian that young talents have stupid and nonexistent names?
I've looked through the database with lachi editor and the xml files to disocver if there is a file that control this aspect but i've found nothing.
Anyone knows a solution to this bizarre problem?
Most names stem from old FIFA databases, as far as I'm aware.
You can change them in the Local.cdb (can be found in My Docs/PCM). You have to open the .cdb with the Full Editor V4.
Look for STA_newrider_firstname and STA_newrider_lastname.
The game looks for names in those two tables.
In an existing career, you can change the young riders' names in DYN_young_rider (in your save game). However, the game will still generate new riders with stupid names based on the aforementioned tables.
After an afternoon and almost all evening of working i've finished fixing the italian names for the young talents...probably i'll check even the surnames and make some changes.
I've read that someone else in the forum has some issue with absurd names in their own languages maybe we can put together some sort of project and rid off this problem. I've already done (pretty much) the italian part. If someone else is interested just let me know

i had a problem where a new rider had the same name as someone who won the Giro in the 30s, so when i clicked on his honours it said he had won the Giro in the 30s even though he was only 20!
@depappie it's very strange it never happened to me! In order to resolve the problem you have to use the full editor, open the local.cdb file you found in MyDocuments/PCM foilder, look for the new rider name panel and change the name that caused the problem. You HAVE to change that name with something else not delete it beacuse otherwise it could happen to see a rider with only the surname. Then save and use the local.cdb file you create.

That doesn't seem to make any sense to me. The palamares are not linked to the name itself and I'm pretty sure there aren't any records in PCM for the 30s... - confusing
