Battaglin is incredible.

Trainees don't win races. But he just did. After dominating the italian u-23 scene, now he's doing well immediately in the pros. Heck he's not even a pro yet.
This guy has all the tools to be a big star.

Agree. Rudiger Selig won Binche - Tournai - Binche a few day ago, a trainee as well. But Battaglin looks like an great talent, Coppa Sabatini is way bigger race.

Results from the 4th stage of Tour of Beijing:

1. Elia Viviani (Liquigas) 4.09,08
2. Peter Sagan (Liquigas) samme tid.
3. Juan Jose Haedo (Saxo Bank-Sungard) s.t.
4. Denis Galimzyanov (Katusja) s.t.
5. Alexander Porsev (Katusja) s.t.
6. Alexander Kristoff (BMC) s.t.
7. Leigh Howard (HTC-Highroad) s.t.
8. Manuele Mori (Lampre-ISD) s.t.
9. Enrique Sanz (Movistar Team) s.t.
10. Heinrich Haussler (Garmin-Cervélo) s.t.

Nice 1-2 from Liquigas, it was a pretty weird sprint, with 1km to go, they were all over the road, no one looked particulary fast. Suddenly Liquigas had 6 men up there, and they pretty much had full control on "their" side of the road, giving them a nice win.

Mollema actually thought he'd won:

Nice result for him, Uran & certainly Betancourt tho. They look in good form for Lombardia

It's not the first time someone thinks he won. I believe Uran had the same, some time ago. It's because these races are now without race radios for the riders.

Zabel at San Remo, Brajkovic at Lombardia 2008, Vaugrenard at Tirreno 2010, now Mollema at Emillia. It seems everyone who comes in second in Italy, thinks he's won. Pfft

Poor Mollema!

Finally the strongest of the favorites, and than a late attacker stays ahead Pfft
Oh well, he'll win Lombardia (meaning Gilbert wins but nobody counts him anymore, the fight is to become 2nd behind Gilbert)
