Well im not sure what you guys think but all my money is on Evans to win it now . Imo he is sitting in the box seat he has george hincapie to help him in the mountains as well !!

Without the "support" from Johan Bruyneel, Hincapie is useless in the mountains. Morabito could offer some help for Evans though.
It's dangerous to predict the winner on the basis of the standings this early in the race, just look at the Giro. However, my bet is still on Contador to come out on top. He seems to have the same kind of luck that Armstrong had a few years ago. |

Pretty harsh comment about Hincapie. Not the Bruyneel bit but the "useless" comment. Hincapie will bury himself for his teamates. He may not be a climber but he will be able to provide some support. I don't expect him to be there on the last Col but he will be some help.

His team is worse than the one he had at Lotto - and he's probably tired after having been in top form (or near it) since the classics.
When we hit the mountains, bye, bye Evans

I guess it's because Contadors rear wheel was damaged already with 30 km to go, but he didn't want to change it because that would have cost more time. So since the mechanical didn't happen inside the last 3 km he doesn't gain back the time. |

You're forgetting something. The Giro was hell more difficult than the Tour is. This year's Tour has only 1 HC difficult mountain-top finish (Tourmalet). So, we'll live and see.

In 2009 there was only Ventoux, but Evans still managed to lose 45 minutes in the GC.
Basso kicked his ass in the mountains in the Giro - no way does he stand a chance in the Tour vs. Contador and Andy. |

yep ther is to many top guys who has prepeared just for this race..
and this is tour..riders say that event tour flat stages is much harder and faster then any other race..
edit: but he was exelent yesterday. This guy loves hard conditions
