Hi all friends!
Is it possible to set the altitude where snow starts??
It's really strange to see snow in some climbs during Tour de France in July...
I'm trying in the stage editor but I don't know where to edit these parametres...
Every help is appreciated! Thanks in advance! |

I would not say, in the Stage editor, there are so many options
rain intensity
good weather and bad
etc
or am I wrong? |

You can try it but I always define it in the DB.
I always thought that the changes in the stage editor or stage viewer are just for the 3D window, to see how it would look like but not for the race later.

I also tried to make workable DEM files with these images. But it doesn`t work.
If you load these images in the stage editor the area looks like a comb. So doesn`t really help you.
You don`t need DEM maps but DEM Files.

Fun fact: There's a max number of trees the stage editor will render at the same time. I learned this making a thick thick forest covering half of Mount Fuji.
At what point was this a good idea? |

Anybody ever tried to make a stage based off a height map, rather than elevation date or nothing? Im curious if theres a way to use it to get around Cyanide's annoying .dem omitions

I did it, and you can make it work, but you can't define the size of the map, so it has to be on a roughly 20x20 square.

I have weird message in the stage editor. It constantly says that my TT start has a bad route slope, although it is placed perfectly fine on sea level... Does anyone have any suggestions how to solve this problem?

Hey SN, I know in your British db you set up a race so that you would ride on the velodrome. Since the Prologue of the Tour de Hokkaido is run on the Hakodate Velodrome, I was wondering how I would set it up.
I assume you chose the Velodrome de Roubaix (or however its spelt) and create a few roads that go into it, but what after that?

- Open up a new stage based on 'nothing' so it is purely flat
- Put in the Roubaix Velodrome
- Youll need at least one road linking in to the Velodrome, you might want to include more, I dont know what the route is like for the start of the Hokkaido prologue
- The Velodrome is set as the end point to the stage, so you only need to add a start.
