So boring that nobody can argue it´s supiciously boring.
I still have some hope left that somehow it will become more interesting but chances are small. So i guess we´ll the Sagan-show and the Sky-train for the rest of the Tour.

Whilst the clinic is a good idea for a forum, it is everything that is wrong with the CN news forum.

Taaramäe was not much surprise today..only question was he's condition. Is he back on form.
Andy and Contador missing..he can be on second climbers group after these guys.
He has non acceleration..steady fast pace is he's best trademark...and Sky did it for him.

haha very true.. for sure he rode well, whilst Vdb also had very bad luck.
This is really one of the best ever days for British cycling so maybe that's why us Brits are quite excited (just a thought) ? A stage win, yellow jersey and polka-dot aint half-bad, although of course the circumstances were favourable.
Based on today the race looks very intriuging. Although they have lost time today, guys like Vdb haven't had a chance to show themselves yet so are ones to watch out for still.
It will also be interesting to see if the likes of Taaramae and Zubeldia and of course Froome can keep up this level of performance and challenge for a podium.
I think that after the TT we will see if Wiggins is likely to win the race, because right now I would (bar the TTs) have Evans as the strongest rider.

If I watch a stage and say "Well, they obviously doped". It ruins it. Do football fans, or athletics fans whatever watch their sport and say "Well, they are obviously doped"?
No.
I believe that until there is a stack load of evidence against someone, then they are clean and I will enjoy their performances.

If riders realise that to beat Sky you have to attack early on in the climb (ala Quintana at Dauphiné, although that's not quite the same as he wasn't a GC contender) then the Tour could get very interesting. I sometimes think that riding at the back of a group and trying to stay at a pace is harder than riding off on your own. Some riders are much better at attacking than hanging in there. Evans is the king of hanging in though, so he doesn't need to attack early.
Anyway, I want Wiggins to win so I'm well pleased with how it went today. |

Didn't expect today to be quite a decisive. But it was as you felt it would be all along a battle between Wiggins and Evans. Nibali isn't out of it either and I expect to see something from him on tomorrow's stage, that is a chance for Evans and he as they are better bike handlers than Wiggins.
It is a shame that crashes have hurt some of the other contenders - a bit like last year though, it is hard to believe anybody who actually was going to win the Tour had been taken out by a crash. It still sucks though for all concerned. Today VdB getting a mechanical was a shame, I think he would have been thereabouts at the end of today.
Radioshack seemed to be every man for himself there - Zubeldia as in the Dauphine proved the best climber with Monfort. Poor old Horner was trying to play a domestique for someone, trying to work out whom!

That was surprisingly fun. Froome looks good I have to say, and no dope imo. Evans looked good, I hope him and Nibbles can work together on the descents to crack stupid Wiggins. And baseball, stop being so mad just because Leipheimer was dropped. None of us (except Alakafroome) loved it but it isn't ruining the sport.
