It's too bad that it gives less points than the flat stages, otherways it could have been a closer fight between Cavendish and Gilbert. The only way I can see Cavendish losing the green jersey is by finishing outside the time limit on Alpe d'Huez, which is very unlikely.

Should be an interesting stage. Literally anything can happen depending on how it's ridden

I'm 99% sure that Gilbert will attack on the last climb.
I just hope some of the GC contenders will react. Should be fun. |

I really hope Voeckler will attack on the descent, if not him then I want S.S. to do it. |

Reports say that there's massive rain in the finish area (and on the descend).

10 degrees only as well.
As well as that, 15-20cm of snow on the Galibier today.

Apalling weather at the start. Cataclysmic thunder claps and heavy rain.
@carltonkirby Carlton Kirby
Might see all seasons over next few days. Snow possible. If winter blows in and routes shortened Voeckler wins. Prayers for snow at Lourdes
@mattgoss1986 Matt Goss
Woken before my alarm this morning by a thunderstorm and pissing rain. This weather is really wearing thin.....

This day is going to be a dog of a day. The rain looks set in across the Hautes-Alpes and the temperature is down to 10 deg #ESPTDF #tdf
@PhilLiggett Phil Liggett
Heavy rain in Gap, snow on the Galibier. I remember when they held the Tour de France in the summer!
@mrendell Matt Rendell
I heard through the grapevine on rest day an unconfirmed report that Cofidis will not be renewing Leo Duque's contract. Hope sb picks him up
@spokesmen david harmon
Will ASO cancel the final loop around Col de Manse today? I'd say there is a good chance. Worst weather I've seen in years. #ESPTDF #TDF
@nedboulting Ned Boulting
Johnny Hoogerland told me this morning that a thunderclap overhead woke him up. Oy, God! Give the boy some peace...
