Wasn't there a screenie a while back of Taaramae at like 43 or something

Anyway we've had to earn this update but it was another interesting year. Looking at the names it feels like we're moving onto the next generation of stars again... for example no signs of Benoit Colbach or Tadgh Holland amongst others.

Kupiainen is a legend.

If I remember correctly, there's not a single real rider left, they've all retired. I looked at the best riders who where older then 36 and I couldn't see any sign of anyone.

PCMFan: Funny you should mention them. Holland had a horrible season, his best placement was an 11th in the Vuelta (or the Tour) and as for Colbach... well, he's still without a contract. He has been a "Free Rider" for the lat two years now. It's a pity because he still has one or two more years in him. He could have shredded the previous records.

I will give you some more "random" screens of different things soon.

I want to thank those who are still following this, it's good to know that there are someone out there reading this.

The stars of tomorrow

Here are some of the riders who I reckon will become something special. Most of them are from my own academy, but some belong to other teams.

Gregor Reimann (20)
i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg526/Project2030/Reimann.jpg
The youngest of these future stars, he hasn't got any results so far. Picked up by one of my scouts, he showed great potential and might be the next great classic-rider, something Germany hasn't really had since Michael Henning dominated. Toni Roth did have a breakthrough season this year, but he isn't exactly a babyface. Perhaps Reimann will start a new German reign of terror in the Ardennes?

Tony Horst (21)
i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg526/Project2030/Horst.jpg
One of three young German talents, this is the one have the most faith in. Some of you might remember that a few years back, the Germans were wrecking havoc in the Tour. It was a short spell, but it gave Germany 4 Tours. If everything goes well, Tony Roth might be a powerhouse in years to come.

Anders Hjort (21)
i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg526/Project2030/Hjort.jpg
Having shown great potential in the u23-rankings by finishing 5th overall, the young Dane might be a solid bet in years to come. He has allready done well in flat finishes, but at only 21 years of age he still has time to evolve.

Maximillian Ehrhardt (22)
i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg526/Project2030/Ehrhardt.jpg
Ehrhardt completes the German trifecta. He is oldest of these riders and even though he hasn't shown any significant results, he still has a lot of potential. He doesn't excel in any special type of terrain and it remains to be seen if he turns into a good allround rider or a fantastic specialist.

Louis Collard (22)
i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg526/Project2030/Collard.jpg
The Belgian sprinter Collard was picked up by Bpost when he was only 20 years old and has spent the first two years of his career there. Having only a 6th place in a minor race in Belgium as his best result he hasn't turned out to be what some had hoped. However, Bpost is a strong team and it's not to hard to see why he hasn't gotten any chances so far. Collard is very interesting, seeing as how he might have allready peaked at only 22 years or he might go on to be the next Cavendish from Belgium.

Sure thing, here you go. The majority are 23 or younger, the oldest one is Fredrik Antonsen who is 25. I won't keep him around after the coming season because he hasn't improved as I hoped he would.

Sylvain Lemée is my great French hope for stage races. He's been with my for one year and has done reasonably well.

Here are the best Average stats for January 1st, 2034. I will upload the full list of stats (MO, SP, COB, etc.) after this season. There haven't been to many changes so I will try to upload it every 5th season. The last time was 2030 so you'll have to wait one more year Wink

Bye the way, don't get your panties in a bunch over Hector "Hell No" Johnson. He is "maxed out" at the ripe age of 24, he only has 2 more stars left in hills and that's it. The only reason I'm still keeping him around is because I'm waiting for someone to sign him up. It's very easy to get good riders out there, but not with timetrialists.

I have had 3 WC ITT-winners in my team, but they weren't signed by anyone untill they were about 32.

Well, there are several good sprinters, especially Joris Mittermeier who is an absolute beast if you look away from his hill-stat.

By the way, from now on you will most likely get the Top 3 for all WT-races instead of just the winner. It's a little bit more work, but I have found a good way of keeping score.
