Yes, I must say it's pretty impressive Smile

Must keep this level for the rest of the season, for my good.

Looks like it was actually 3rd overall. Froome 13th overall, Cummings 14th and Millar 15th.

In a relatively weak field where his biggest rival is also his teammate?

Well if you look at the top 6 you may be able to get a good idea where his rivals in that race are...

It was actually Steegmans who was leading out Napo. but he did that so good, Napo could only get aside and both crossed the line at almost the exact same moment.

Like I said, relatively weak. The only two 'big name' sprinters in the field are both riding for Katusha

I have to disagree, Stroetinga is not a weak rider, he developed a lot over the winter. Roelandts, yeah maybe out of form but still a good sprinter. And you cant discount Veelers. Also i forgot what we were debating Pfft

well, those are all okay sprinters, but not as good as Steegmans/Napolitano who have both ridden Pro Tour for a few years already.
None of the above 3 has ever won a Pro Tour stage (I think, possibly Roelants but I doubt it) while both steegmans and napo did.

No, non of them. But Belgian champ and a very unlucky Stroetinga in TDU where he came close the beating McEwen but was box out of it.

True, but it's still only his first season on the road. He's proved he's very fast in a sprint at the end of a scratch, but on the road he has yet to prove he's one of the top sprinters. of course, he's already doing that very good, but I wouldnt compare him to steegmans or napolitano already Wink

hmm roelandts won a stage in tour of poland i think, which was pro tour at the time =)
but i agree, steegmans and napolitano are in a different league to the rest of the sprinters there Smile
