Henao is my bet. He looked strong in the opening stages.

Gesink seems to be building up form very nicely for the Vuelta.

Moreno keeps the lead by 11 seconds and wins the race.

Henao broke away with a very promising Chavez and let him win the stage.

GC should be

Moreno
Henao @0:11
Chavez @0:17

Hope Chavez rides the Volta a Portugal. Would be a great challenge for Blanco and Ricardo Mestre.

And Henao also looking pretty good for the Vuelta, though I think he won't be able to keep this form until then... Oh wait. Pfft

It's Chaves. Not Chavez.

It's wonderful to see so many good colombians. They're always fond of attacking, which is a good thing for the excitement.

Top 20 from the stage:

1 Johan Chaves Rubio (Col) Colombia Coldeportes 4:17:59
2 Sergio Luis Henao (Col) Sky Pro Cycling
3 Igor Anton (Spa) Euskaltel-Euskadi 0:00:11
4 Daniel Moreno (Spa) Katusha 0:00:22
5 Franco Pellizotti (Ita) Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela 0:00:26
6 Javier Moreno Bazán (Spa) Movistar Team 0:00:32
7 Mikel Landa Meana (Spa) Euskaltel-Euskadi 0:00:48
8 Giovanni Visconti (Ita) Movistar Team 0:00:55
9 Robert Gesink (Ned) Rabobank 0:00:58
10 David Arroyo (Spa) Movistar Team 0:01:16
11 Danilo Di Luca (Ita) Acqua & Sapone 0:01:23
12 Eros Capecchi (Ita) Liquigas-Cannondale 0:01:28
13 David López (Spa) Movistar Team 0:01:29
14 Darwin Atapuma Hurtado (Col) Colombia Coldeportes
15 Cameron Meyer (Aus) Orica GreenEdge Cycling Team 0:01:30
16 Romain Sicard (Fra) Euskaltel-Euskadi 0:01:36
17 Alberto Losada (Spa) Katusha 0:01:38
18 Arnaud Courteille (Fra) FDJ-BigMat 0:01:39
19 Tom Dumoulin (Ned) Argos-Shimano 0:01:46
20 Joaquin Rodriguez (Spa) Katusha 0:02:02

Anton, Henao, Gesink and Purito all seems to have their shape where it should be. Some very promising youngsters showed strength too. Obviously Chaves above all, but also Landa, Atapuma, Courteille and Dumoulin. Finally a decent result from Sicard as well.

Btw, are Acqua & Sapone or Androni invited to the Vuelta? Especially Acqua has a really strong squad at the moment. Think they could do really well.

Yes! Great to see Stallaert properly back after spending almost the entire season out with mononucleosis! He is destined for big things but I was worried that his development would be slowed because of that.

Henao is doing great so far. Uran was quite good yesterday, setting blistering pace for Henao. Shame he couldn't have won his first overall for Sky here but that was a very good ride indeed.

You're looking at the GC. I don't know if Henao let Chaves, but this is how the stage ended:

I thought "GC should be" indicated well enough that anything written below that refers to the GC, but it obviously wasn't for everyone Wink

Yeah, totally forgot about it with the Olympics.

Leipheimer again I guess. Maybe Danielson. Horner may be the best climber. Velits won't show becaus he's working for Leipheimer. Sprints should be Farrar vs. Chicci. Also keep an eye on Dombrowski.
